Here is how the ₹12.9 crore figure was reached:

₹8.4 crore has been added as it was the residual value of Anwar Ali’s contract with the Mariners. ₹2 crore was already paid by the club as a loan fee to Delhi FC, while damages suffered by the club during this time amount to ₹2.5 crore.

Reports suggest that the deal between East Bengal and Delhi FC for Anwar Ali included a clause which mentioned that any fine for the transfer would have to be shared between the Torch Bearers and the player.

As a result, it remains to be seen whether the decision is appealed by the parties or whether they resign to paying the fee.

How much did East Bengal pay for Ali as transfer fee?

₹2.5 crore to Delhi FC
