All Upcoming Characters in Destiny: Rising Season 1 – Complete Lightbearer Guide

Get ready, Guardians! Destiny: Rising Season 1 is launching on September 24, 2025 for NA servers and September 25, 2025 for APAC, EMEA, and LATAM servers, bringing exciting new Lightbearers to the battlefield. After the global launch’s success, players are eagerly anticipating the fresh roster additions that will shake up the meta in this mobile Destiny experience.

Destiny: Rising Season 1 New Character Lineup

Two confirmed new characters are joining Season 1: Estela, a 5-star Solar unit, and Umeko, a 4-star Void unit. Both characters were previously available during the closed beta testing phases, making their abilities well-documented and tested by the community.

Character Overview Table

Estela – 5-Star Solar Powerhouse

Estela brings devastating Solar damage to your squad with abilities that excel in both PvE and PvP content. As a premium 5-star character, she’s designed to be a game-changer for players looking to dominate high-level activities.

Key Abilities:

• High burst Solar damage output
• Area-of-effect capabilities for crowd control
• Strong synergy with other Solar element characters
• Versatile kit suitable for multiple game modes

Recommended Usage: Estela shines in challenging PvE content where her Solar abilities can clear groups of enemies efficiently. Her 5-star status means she’ll likely require significant investment but offers top-tier performance in return.

Umeko – 4-Star Void Specialist

Don’t underestimate this 4-star Void character! While Umeko isn’t available in the current launch roster, her beta performance showed impressive support capabilities that complement existing team compositions perfectly.

Strategic Benefits:

• Accessible 4-star rarity for easier acquisition
• Void element synergies for tactical advantages
• Support-focused abilities that enhance team performance
• Budget-friendly option for new players

Team Composition: Umeko pairs excellently with current A-tier characters like Gwynn (Void Warlock-style character), creating powerful Void-based strategies.

Maru – The Mysterious Third Option

Maru remains without an official announcement despite appearing in beta tests. This Arc-element character represents the biggest question mark for Season 1, though community speculation suggests a future release is likely.

Current Banner Context

The current Memento Mori banner runs until September 25, 2025, featuring Gwynn as the Mythic character, perfectly timing with Season 1’s launch. Gwynn offers Void-element Warlock-style gameplay with a 1% base pull rate that increases up to 100% on the 60th draw.
