Derek Hough & Hayley Erbert: Pregnancy Announcement Details

The Heart-Melting Announcement Moment

Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert announced they are expecting their first child together in a heartwarming video shared to Instagram, capturing a beautifully intimate moment that resonated with millions of fans worldwide. The couple’s genuine excitement and love radiated through the screen as they shared their precious sonogram images.

The Dancing with the Stars power couple chose authenticity over elaborate production, creating a moment that felt personal and genuine. Their natural chemistry and obvious joy made the announcement feel like fans were witnessing a private family moment.

A Love Story Against All Odds

This pregnancy announcement carries extra significance given the couple’s challenging 2023. About a year and a half after Hayley had a major health scare: a brain bleed that resulted in multiple surgeries and months of recovery, the couple is now celebrating this miraculous blessing.

Hough told fans, “She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy.” She later had skull surgery and made a full recovery. Their journey from medical crisis to expecting parents showcases incredible resilience and the power of unwavering support.

Dancing Through Life Together

The couple tied the knot in August 2023 in front of 106 guests, just months after Hayley’s health crisis. Their wedding represented not just a celebration of love, but a triumph over adversity that makes this pregnancy announcement even more meaningful.

The couple’s been together since 2015, building a decade-long relationship foundation that has weathered both professional success and personal challenges with grace and mutual support.

The DWTS Family Celebrates

Baby Hough will have plenty of playmates in the DWTS ballroom, as the Dancing with the Stars community has always been known for their close-knit family atmosphere. Derek’s role as judge and Hayley’s background as a professional dancer creates a unique entertainment legacy for their future child.
