After the E3 2021, Steam Next Fest has started. It’s a huge event containing over 700 free game demos, which is really a massive collection. Here we have collected 52 demos and most of them are available until June 22. This list is definitely gonna help you to find a few trial versions of games that you are finding from the show.
A TALE OF PAPER
A side-scrolling adventure where you gonna play a tiny paper person who generally uses origami to get around their maker’s workshop.
AK-XOLOTL
Control some cute pixelated animals in this area hell shooter in multiplayer. The game is lots of fun and made the list of the best demos of Steam Next Fest.
APICO
According to the name, this one is a bee farming simulator, featuring a cute pixel art style environment with some seriously chill music.
ARIETTA OF SPIRITS
A story-focused adventure featuring reaction-based battles regarding a girl who can see ghosts after her grandmother’s death.
BLOOMING BUSINESS: CASINO
This game is a management simulator, where the animals are getting in on casino management. You have to help them to manage the casino with your decisions.
BUTTON CITY
This game is not exclusive to Steam Next Fest, but still, it is worth mentioning for all friends of bright colors and low-poly animals—this features a chill story about making some animal friends where you gonna play some minigames.
BEAR AND BREAKFAST
Now it seems that animals are running several establishments at this E3 event, but it is pretty interesting to see Bear and Breakfast, as there is a lot of detail to this cozy hotel simulator.
BLACK BOOK
Black Book is a card game that was announced previously, where you need to summon demons as a young sorceress who has sold her soul.
DEATH TRASH
Being a stunning real-time action RPG, Death Trash is one of the most highly anticipated games. You will play as a heavily-armed punk who is exploring a post-apocalyptic world full of appealing creatures like flesh Kraken.
DESPOT’S GAME
Also, this demo is not available for Steam Next Fest. This game is a roguelike tactics game with a screen full of enemies and allies to handle it. The animations are also very gorgeous and attractive.
DODGEBALL ACADEMIA
This game is very much fun for anime fans. An eye-catching turn-based RPG where a boy wants to become the best player at Dodgeball Academy.
DOLMEN
The slick action RPG that brings you onto a planet of alien and this one is one of the first games to come out of Koch Media’s new publishing label Prime Matter.
FRESHLY FROSTED
This game is about a cute factory builder in the style of Factorio to make donuts.
FROGSONG
A 2D adventure of a frog that is trying to make the entire world a better place.
GLOOMWOOD
This stealth horror FPS offers a serious atmosphere and is one of Morgan’s highlights of E3.
GRIME
A surreal Metroidvania where you are gonna use mutated weapons.
HAPPY’S HUMBLE BURGER FARM
This title is of a survival horror set in a fast-food restaurant, featuring mascots reminiscent of Five Nights at Freddy’s.
INDUSTRIA
An FPS game set in both Cold War Berlin and a spooky parallel world.
KEYWE
A cute co-op puzzler game about two Kiwi birds that become postal workers.
KITSUNE TAILS
A platformer that took inspiration from Super Mario World and Japanese folklore that lets you control a tiny fox-tailed lady.
KRAKEN ACADEMY
The game has been described as a “colorful fever dream”, and seeing as you both manage everyday school life while working together with Kraken to discover a supervillain through a time loop.
LAKE
This game is so beautiful where a woman is returning to her hometown during a holiday to deliver mail. The storyline of this game is so attractive.
MECHAJAMMER
A stylish turn-based squad RPG featuring a dark cyberpunk environment.
MY LOVE LIFE
A mixture of management, dating, and alchemy sim that offers a story of a man grieving his late wife. (Note: This game contains adult content.)
NARAKA BLADEPOINT
The battle royale game is coming in August where 60 players can play a match with ranged and melee weapons.
NO LONGER HOME
A story-driven adventure with a touch of magical realism that feels strongly like Kentucky Route Zero.
NORCO
A point and click adventure that “explores the industria; swamplands and decaying suburbs of South Louisiana”. A safe bet for all the fans of Southern Gothic.
OMNO
A puzzle game with a fun sense of movement where you will play as a small pilgrim who floats across the sky and zips across the land.
PLEASE BE HAPPY
A “comfy, slice-of-life” visual about a fox who turns into a girl and needs to learn about human emotions.
POTION CRAFT
Potion Craft is exactly what it says on the tin, potion crafting and selling. This demo is around permanently, which is really great and you shouldn’t miss it.
PRINCESS FARMER
An adorable symbol matching-meets-farming game.
RAINBOW BILLY: CURSE OF THE LEVIATHAN
A colorful exploration game with visuals in the style of old Fleischer cartoons which seems similar to Cuphead.
ROAD 96
A narrative road trip adventure where all the situations are procedurally generated.
RUBI: THE WAYWARD MIRA
Lush pixel Metroidvania about a girl who is trying to save her planet.
SABLE
You are here to explore the desert as Sable, a nomad on a pilgrimage to understand herself and others better. This game is going to get a lot of popularity.
SOUP POT
This game is all about making some tasty snacks in a pot. Want to cook something?
TAMARINDO’S FREAKING DINNER
A first-person horror adventure. You can feel the horror in the trailer, but more in an “I’m not sure what just happened” sort of way.
TERRA NIL
It’s a reverse city builder, where the target is to leave the earth as you found it and save the environment by getting rid of the traces of erstwhile cities.
THE BIG CON
This one is an adventure game influenced by the ‘90s cartoons and general ‘90s nostalgia.
THE LEGEND OF TIANDING
This is an action side-scroller game with some great animations.
THE LIGHTBRINGER
A “poetic puzzle-platforming adventure” about ridding the world of demons.
THEY ALWAYS RUN
Here, you will play as a mutant bounty hunter to catch rogue robots.
TOODEE AND TOPDEE
It is an inventive game that allows you to switch into 3D to alter your perspective to solve lots of puzzles.
TRASH SAILORS
This game is a hand-drawn multilayer sailing adventure with some chaotic energy.

A fox is here as an engineer, warrior, or mage class and appears in the waves of enemies to fight.
UNMETAL
Unmetal is a 2D stealth game that freely riffs on Metal Gear Solid.

Very soothing unpacking simulator about taking out stuff from moving boxes and getting settled into a new place.

Surf through a Venice threatened by climate change on your board with some chill tunes.
WARHAMMER 40K: BATTLESECTOR
After confirming Sisters of Battle for Warhammer 40K: Battlesector, now it’s time to give the game a gander before its release in July.
