When and Where to Watch Demon Hunters Movie on JioHotstar

Cinema history is about to be made. The groundbreaking India-Taiwan co-production “Demon Hunters” will premiere May 15 on JioHotstar and Amazon Prime Video across the Indian subcontinent, bringing audiences an unprecedented fusion of Eastern storytelling that promises to redefine cross-border entertainment.

This isn’t just another streaming release—it’s a cultural milestone. The Demon Hunters Movie marks the first-ever cinematic co-production between India and Taiwan, uniting two cinematic powerhouses in a spectacular display of supernatural mayhem, martial arts precision, and Bollywood flair.

What Makes Demon Hunters Unmissable?

Directed by Mei-Juin Chen, “Demon Hunters” follows Tommy, a YouTuber who fakes exorcisms for views, as he teams up with Sanjay, an Indian tech expert and grandson of a legendary exorcist, to battle a zombie demon possession. What begins as online trickery transforms into a genuine fight against supernatural forces that threaten everything.

The film brilliantly balances multiple genres—action sequences choreographed by Jackie Chan’s team, horror elements rooted in Eastern spirituality, comedy that transcends language barriers, and romance that adds emotional depth. The production features more than 700 VFX shots, creating a visual spectacle that rivals international blockbusters.

Star-Studded Cast and Technical Brilliance

The cast is led by Arjan Bajwa alongside JC Lin, Jack Kao, Harry Chang and Regina Lei. Behind the camera, the international crew included collaborators from Jackie Chan’s action and cinematography teams, ensuring every fight sequence delivers authentic, adrenaline-pumping excitement.

The musical landscape is equally impressive. The production features a combined Taiwanese-Hindi soundtrack, including Bollywood-style track “Dadaji Ka Jadoo,” distributed by Sony Music Taiwan, perfectly capturing the film’s cross-cultural essence.

Multi-Platform, Multilingual Access

JioHotstar will carry Hindi, Tamil and Telugu-language versions. Prime Video will stream the film in the Mandarin, English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages, making it accessible to diverse audiences across continents. This strategic dual-platform release maximizes reach while respecting regional viewing preferences.

Produced by Light House Productions and Kleos Entertainment Group, the film was backed by Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture, demonstrating official recognition of this landmark collaboration.

Why This Matters

“This is a strategic step toward building globally resonant IP from Asia. It demonstrates how culturally rooted stories can transcend borders and unlock new audience ecosystems”, explained producer Gayathiri Guliani from Kleos Entertainment Group.

After a successful theatrical run in Taiwan, this digital debut opens doors for millions who crave fresh, culturally rich content that breaks the Hollywood. The Demon Hunters Movie proves that when two cinema traditions collide, magic happens.
