Dell Copilot+ PCs Powered by Snapdragon X Series Processors Set to Launch in India on July 16th

Dell is eyeing a return to productivity laptops, this time with new machines that use Qualcomm Snapdragon X series processors. Dubbed Copilot+ PCs, these laptops will come equipped with a dedicated NPU chipset to accelerate the AI process and boost performance alongside improved aspects such as battery life and multitasking. Dell Copilot+ PCs will be launched in India on July 16 It will include the recently announced XPS series, Inspiron, and Latitude-series laptops. The processors will be the new Snapdragon X Elite and some of these laptops could come with NPU chipset only. Featuring up to 45 TOPS (trillion operations per second) of NPU performance, these AI PCs can for better execution of artificial intelligence tasks. For improved computer performance, Dell has launched a category of personal and commercial options: the procedure is faster and more AI-thinking.

A laptop qualifies as a Copilot+ PC if it includes a dedicated NPU with 40 TOPS, 16GB of memory, and 256GB of storage. TOPS is a metric for measuring the performance capability of a CPU, GPU, or NPU. The higher the TOPS, the faster and more capable the NPU is for on-device AI operations. Several features are also thrown in with Copilot+ PCs as well. This extends to an activity tracker app called Microsoft Recall, Cocreator, and a new feature for MS Paint that creates images from text prompts.

The Photos app also has a tool called Restyle that can be used to reanimate photos with pre-defined styles. Beyond that, there are also live subtitle translations, game resolution upscaling, and video call improvements.
