What Is the Story About?
Byeon Hyeok Jun, a man in his thirties, is buried under debt. Desperate for a way out, he finds a mysterious recruitment firm called Spider Staffing Agency, run by the enigmatic Mr. S. The agency offers part-time jobs paying 50 times the standard minimum wage, with one strict rule: applicants must never reveal what happens during their shifts.
Tempted, Hyeok Jun takes an assignment at what looks like an ordinary convenience store. It soon turns into a terrifying supernatural experience. With every new assignment, the workplace gets more dangerous, and he must fight to survive while keeping the agency’s secrets.
The People Around Him
- Yeon Ju. An officer at the Institute of Industrial Accident Prevention and Protection, she starts investigating strange incidents linked to Spider Staffing Agency. Her search exposes disturbing patterns behind its unusually lucrative contracts.
- Ji Yoon. Hyeok Jun’s younger sister is focused on paying the bills, but she grows worried as her brother’s behaviour changes and his unexplained absences increase.
As Yeon Ju digs for answers and Ji Yoon tries to understand what’s happening to her brother, their paths converge with his increasingly dangerous experiences. Together they move towards Mr. S and the dark supernatural forces behind those high-paying jobs.
Why It Could Be a Hit?
The premise taps into something very relatable: money pressure, and the temptation of an offer that’s too good to be true. Add a horror twist, a reliable lead in Lee Jae Wook and a cast that includes Go Min Si, and you have a promising Halloween-week watch.
