Dasara Melava 2024

The political landscape in Maharashtra is abuzz today, as four significant Dasara Melavas (Dussehra gatherings) take place, drawing attention ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. The key figures leading these gatherings are Eknath Shinde, Uddhav Thackeray, Pankaja and Dhananjay Munde, and Maratha leader Manoj Jarange.

Each is vying to make their voice the loudest in the political arena, and the state is watching closely to see who will command the largest crowd and influence.

Dasara Melava 2024

The Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction will host their Dasara Melava at the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Park in Mumbai, with the event scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Simultaneously, Eknath Shinde’s faction will hold their own gathering at Azad Maidan. Both leaders have organized massive events, with seating arrangements for over a lakh people. The size of the crowd is expected to be a key indicator of public support, adding to the suspense about who will draw the bigger gathering.

Dasara Melava 2024: Updates

In Beed, the rivalry between siblings Pankaja and Dhananjay Munde continues as they host their own Dasara gathering. Their event is set to start at 11 a.m., with the presence of prominent OBC protest leader Laxman Hake adding weight to the occasion. Hake has urged supporters to attend, highlighting the significance of the gathering.

For the first time, Maratha activist Manoj Jarange Patil is holding his own Dasara Melava. Known for leading the Maratha agitation, Jarange’s gathering is creating a significant buzz. It is being held at Narayan Fort, near Beed, on a sprawling 900-acre ground. This large-scale event is meticulously organized, with medical rooms, over 100 ambulances on standby, and a parking arrangement spread across 200 acres to accommodate the expected influx of attendees. Jarange’s event will begin around 1 p.m., marking his entry into the political spotlight on a significant cultural day.

With all these prominent gatherings happening today, the question remains: whose voice will resonate the loudest? As the state closely follows each event, the Dasara Melava 2024 promises to be a turning point in Maharashtra’s political future.
