Dani Alves speaks up about Messi's words and what's wrong with Barcelona

The excellent Brazilian right back who featured in the formidable Barcelona squad who won the Champions League has spoken about the current condition of the Catalans.

He has also talked about Lionel Messi and offered his thoughts on where it’s all going wrong for the Blaugranas. They have seen Real Madrid crowned as the Spanish champions this season even though they have changed managers to win the league.

After the 2-1 defeat at the Camp Nou against Osasuna, Messi said Barca a “very weak team” and they to improve if they have to beat Napoli in the Champions League.

So with respect to that Dani Alves had to say that the captain needs more support at the Camp Nou and also feels his former team lack of identity on the pitch.

“What this Barça lacks is the identity it has always had, like Ronaldinho’s Barça, our Barça. The identity of a team that dominates for 90 minutes, 100 minutes, or 150 minutes.

“Barça are there for people to enjoy. Now what I see, from the outside, is that Barça is just another team. They used to have an understanding throughout the team and made things look easy.

“Leo is a natural winner. He doesn’t like losing. When the team loses it’s normal he gets angry, he always wants to win. Just like me. We always want to win.

“He sees, what I feel, and that’s a lack of support. I’ll always say that Messi is the main course and we were the perfect ingredients for that plate. Now I have the feeling that he’s doing everything, all the time, and we must remember he’s only human.”

Messi has been in the forefront of everything and just needs some support from his teammates which he got today to make 5-0 win but still, they need to prepare well for the match against Napoli at the Camp Nou. Messi now has 25 goals and 20 assists, making him the league-best again, but some difficult times coming in after three weeks.
