Dani Alves’ first spell at Barcelona by the numbers

Dani Alves is confirmed to be returning to Barcelona, and will officially be a part of the squad in January. The iconic Brazilian right-back enjoyed a very prolific spell at Camp Nou the first time around. And in this article, we look at the eight best stats that the player has achieved with Barca.

  • In contrast to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s goal contributions every 255 minutes, Alves provided a contribution every 214 minutes under Pep Guardiola.
  • Dani Alves joined Barcelona from Sevilla as Pep Guardiola’s first signing. At 38, he is also the first signing for Xavi.
  • The defender has the second-most appearances for Barcelona as a foreign player.
  • He made 30 appearances in La Liga per season, and 48 in all competitions on average.
  • Alves’ titles won at Barca read as follows: 3 x Champions Leagues, 6 x La Liga titles, 4 x Copa del Rey, 4 Supercopa de Espana, 3 x Club World Cups 3 x UEFA Super Cups.
  • Dani Alves assisted 43 of Lionel Messi’s 672 goals for the Blaugrana. Only Luis Suarez and Andres Iniesta have assisted the Argentinian more.
  • The player won a title every 17 games at Barca by the numbers, lifting 2.8 trophies per season.
  • With 46 titles to his name throughout his career, he is the most decorated senior professional footballer.

The veteran has been recruited to mainly be a leader to the young players already at the club. He has a winning mentality and knows what it’s like to truly play for Barcelona. As a result, his presence behind the scenes will be more valuable than his limited time on the pitch.
