Some love stories begin at a school pool. TWICE’s Dahyun and actor Cha Woo Min have officially started filming their new romance film, and the setup is already winning hearts.
Dahyun and Cha Woo Min: The Announcement
On October 21, the production company said Clouds Roll Like Gureumi (literal title) has assembled a fresh cast led by Dahyun and Cha Woo Min and has begun filming, with a target release in 2027.
What Is the Story About?
The film follows a cheerful girl who has used a wheelchair her whole life and a promising young swimmer who carries emotional wounds he hides from everyone. As they grow close, their first love becomes a turbulent journey of personal growth, and each becomes someone truly special to the other.
Meet the Characters
| Actor | Character | Who They Are |
|---|---|---|
| Dahyun of TWICE | Gu Reum | A 17-year-old high school art club member with paraplegia who proudly shows off her pink wheelchair |
| Cha Woo Min | Jun San | A talented high school swimmer with striking looks and hidden insecurities |
How Do They Meet?
Gu Reum is full of sunny charm and has more self-esteem than anyone around her. As an art club member, she becomes determined to see and draw abdominal muscles in person, which sends her to the school swimming pool. There she becomes the volunteer work mentor for Jun San, who has been kicked out of training after fighting with a senior student.
Jun San didn’t choose the volunteer work, but swimming still dominates his thoughts. Over time, he grows closer to Gu Reum and develops feelings for her. Still, he struggles with deep self-loathing he has carried for years, which sets up the emotional tension at the heart of the story.
Why Fans Are Excited?
Here’s what makes this film stand out:
- A bright, confident lead: Gu Reum is written with warmth, humor and strong self-esteem rather than simply as someone defined by her condition.
- Opposites who heal each other: a cheerful girl and a wounded athlete is a classic romance setup with plenty of room for heart.
- Fresh pairing: Dahyun and Cha Woo Min share the screen for the first time in a leading romance.
