Cyberpunk 2077 ray tracing only available for Nvidia and not for AMD as of now

CD PROJEKT RED will soon release the much anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 game. But some exciting update has popped up on the internet showing ray tracing footage of the game. The developers also revealed the final PC system requirements of the massively anticipated first-person open-world roleplaying game.

However, the Cyberpunk 2077 ray tracing specs only mentioned NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards. We all know that AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards also offer hardware-accelerated ray tracing, but it doesn’t seem to be available for the game.

When asked as to why the game doesn’t support ray tracing from AMD’s hardware, CD PROJEKT RED’s Community Manager Marcin Momot stated that “that the feature won’t be available at launch for the Radeon GPUs, though the studio is working on making that happen as soon as possible.”

Cyberpunk 2077 ray tracing is based on Microsoft’s open XDR API. And we had already seen a few games before that had the only ray tracing support from only one proprietor. a short while ago, the game Godfal entered a marketing deal with AMD and its glow outlining features. It only supports shadows ray tracing exclusively from AMD during its launch, with Nvidia getting the support after the game’s initial launch. It turns into Nvidia and AMD competing to launch their ray tracing with exclusive contests, hoping to gain the upper hand over each other.

At any rate, it shouldn’t turn into the fact that we will only get one type of ray-tracing support for one particular game, or we have to buy separate copies of one game. It won’t be delightful to deal with. At any rate, Cyberpunk 2077, as of now, supports only Nvidia’s ray tracing and also has support for NVIDIA DLSS technology. As to when it will get the help of AMD’s ray tracing is still unclear.
