With his brace for Al Nassr this weekend, Cristiano Ronaldo broke yet another football record. The striker now has the most goals scored in first division leagues in history. His tally in the Saudi Pro League is up to 15 goals in 13 appearances this season, with three goals from four games in the AFC Champions League.

In 2023 alone, the veteran has provided 61 goals and assists for club and country, finishing as the second top scorer in the Euro 2024 Qualifiers, with 10 goals to his name.

Ronaldo’s first goal was produced from a tight angle after he skipped past a number of defenders to put his side 2-0 up. But only minutes later, he produced an outrageous finish from around 30 yards out, with the ball dipping to find the back of the net after the goalkeeper was caught out of position.

Here is a detailed list of the number of goals Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in every top flight league he has played in:

  • Liga Portugal – 3 goals in 25 games
  • Premier League – 103 goals in 236 games
  • LaLiga – 311 goals in 292 games
  • Serie A – 81 goals in 98 games
  • Saudi Pro League – 29 goals in 29 games

In total, the 38-year-old has scored 527 goals in 547 top flight games, which averages out to a near 1 goal per game ratio. He has finished top scorer in the league only five times in his career, in comparison to seven such awards in the Champions League.
