Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to leave Manchester United this summer, according to Erik ten Hag. The Portuguese attacker may have left anyhow, but the new coach looks to be determined to put an end to the love affair between the No.7 and the Red Devils.
When Ralf Rangnick’s interim stint ends at the end of the current season, the current Ajax box has agreed in principle to take over at Old Trafford. According to The Daily Star, he has told the club management that Ronaldo is not in his plans since his style of play does not fit him.

Last summer, the football world was startled when the Portuguese forward made a stunning return to Manchester United, and it appeared as if he may be the man to end United’s trophy drought.
The 37-year-old had a fantastic start to the season, winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for September and scoring key goals against Villarreal and Atalanta to help United progress through the Champions League group stage.
His Old Trafford comeback, however, has ended badly, as United will conclude the season without a trophy for the fifth consecutive season, now in seventh place in the Premier League table.
Ronaldo’s Plan for 2022-23
While Ronaldo leads his team in scoring with 18 goals so far this season, he has only scored four goals in his previous 13 outings, and he has battled to keep his starting spot on Rangnick’s side.
Since the turn of the year, Ronaldo has become more unhappy with life at Old Trafford, and he met with his agent Jorge Mendes in March to discuss his options for next season.
His fate appears to have been sealed by United’s new coach, who has cited his age and status as a luxury player as primary reasons for refusing to work with him once he takes over in the summer. As a result, the rush to sign Ronaldo for 2022/23 has begun.
