Cristiano Ronaldo & Georgina Rodríguez Wedding: The Royal Ceremony Is Reportedly All Set

Cristiano Ronaldo & Georgina Rodríguez Wedding: It’s the love story that football fans have been waiting for — and the wedding might be just around the corner. After years of romance, five children, heartbreak, and triumph, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are reportedly preparing to officially tie the knot, and the details are nothing short of cinematic.

A Love Story Worth Telling

The couple’s journey began in 2016 when Georgina was working at a Gucci store in Madrid — a meet-cute that no Hollywood screenwriter could top. They went public in 2017, later welcoming daughter Alana Martina, and tragically lost one of their twin boys, Angel, at birth in 2022.

Then came the moment millions had waited for. In August 2025, Georgina confirmed the engagement with a viral Instagram post — a photo of her hand wearing a 35-carat oval diamond estimated at over $5 million, captioned: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

Why Madeira?

According to Portuguese outlet Jornal de Madeira, the ceremony will take place at Funchal Cathedral — the oldest church on the island, opened in 1514 — with a reception at a luxury hotel just 1.5 miles from the hospital where Ronaldo was born. It’s a homecoming as much as it is a wedding.

The World Cup Connection

The private ceremony is expected in the brief off-season window after the World Cup and before the start of the new Saudi season. Ronaldo himself confirmed the vision — he wants to lift the World Cup trophy before saying “I do.” The 2026 FIFA World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19 across Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

This isn’t just a wedding — it’s the closing chapter of one of sport’s greatest ever stories. A boy from Madeira who conquered the world, now returning home to start the next chapter. If Portugal lifts the trophy on July 19, the celebrations might never stop.
