Criminal Minds: Evolution: The BAU’s Cat-and-Mouse Game Just Hit Its Most Dangerous Chapter Yet

Four episodes into Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 4, the BAU isn’t just chasing a copycat killer anymore — they’re chasing someone who studied Elias Voit like a textbook. Episode 6, “Proxy,” drops this week, and it’s shaping up to be the season’s most pivotal hour so far.

Why Episode 6 Is a Bigger Deal Than It Sounds

Season 4 has spent its first half rebuilding the BAU after the fallout of the Sicarius case, but the real engine of the season is “the Fan” — a meticulous admirer of Elias Voit who took offense at being called pathetic during Voit’s ill-fated podcast appearance and has since set out to prove himself through his own string of killings. Each episode has nudged that mystery forward alongside a fresh case of the week, and by all signs, Episode 6 is where those two threads start colliding more directly.

There’s also a casting wrinkle worth knowing about. Guest star Connor Storrie, who was originally booked for a single appearance, impressed the production team enough to earn an expanded four-episode arc running from Episode 4 through Episode 7. That puts Episode 6 right in the middle of his run — the third chapter of a storyline that’s quickly become a fan favorite talking point this season.

For longtime viewers, the show’s slow-burn, season-long mystery format is a deliberate departure from the original CBS series, which leaned almost entirely on standalone cases.
