Cop, Quit, Chaos: Suriya’s Scene Trailer Promises a Wild Diwali Ride

Some trailers inform. Others simply make you want a ticket. The new trailer for Scene belongs firmly in the second group: Suriya is bratty and brilliant, and he’s about to turn a police investigation into a party.

What the Trailer Shows?

Suriya plays Inbaraj, a cop famous for sharp investigative skills and just as famous for being unruly, disrespectful and downright bratty. At the top of his game, he quits the force. Why? To go after his arch-enemy Eeswaran on his own terms.

That exit is also a nod to Thalapathy Vijay. The trailer pays homage to a real-life speech by the star, a detail that is already getting fans talking.

The Fun Factor

Inbaraj doesn’t work alone. The trailer introduces his team of oddballs, including Maya (Nazriya Nazim Fahadh), who is also his love interest. Their unconventional crew has to outsmart Eeswaran, and that’s the heart of the story.

The tone will feel familiar if you loved the director’s earlier films Romancham and Aavesham. The humor leads, while serious incidents simmer in the background. Add Sushin Shyam’s wacky new tracks and comic-book-style editing, and you get a film made for the big screen.

Why Naslen Stands Out?

Naslen’s Eeswaran looks innocent on the surface and ruthless underneath. Pinkvilla’s review says Suriya’s quirkiness is a perfect match for Naslen’s “psych mode,” and that pairing could be the film’s biggest draw.
