Born from a collaboration between Ampverse, Asia’s largest gaming communities and IPs ecosystem, and DMI Finance, College Rivals has made waves in the Indian Esports scene by offering college students a groundbreaking platform to display their gaming skills.
The climactic event will see 28 finalists, selected from colleges all over India, battle it out across six games on three different platforms. The games include BGMI, Road to Valor, Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Tekken 7, and FIFA 23.
Attendees can expect more than just gaming action. The event will feature meet-and-greets with leading gaming influencers, live music performances, arcade gaming zones, racing simulators, food and beverage stations, chill lounges, and much more.
Ashwin Haryani, Country Head of Ampverse, India, shared his excitement about the grand finale, saying, “College Rivals has successfully showcased the immense talent and passion for Esports among college students. Our vision of creating a sustainable ecosystem that provides a structured pathway for every player to pursue a career in Esports, irrespective of their background or experience, has been realized. By identifying and nurturing talent at the grassroots level, we aim to empower the next generation of gamers and shape the future of India’s Esports industry. The first season of College Rivals is just the start of our vision and we can’t wait for an immersive grand finale that will captivate everyone involved.”

After the city qualifiers, the top players from each city advanced to the League Stage where they competed in a GSL format, with the best progressing to the LAN event playoffs.
