It is known to all about the deal between Ja Morant and Coca Cola that also owns powerade, has decided to hold the advertising campaign. It is regarded as the so called biggest advertising campaign in brand history, however it got suspended when the Memphis player got engaged in a social media scandal where he pulled out a gun at a strip club.
Ja Morant flashed a gun at a strip club
People engaged with the NBA recall that Ja Morant had been all over the news because of the incident he caused at a strip club a few days ago. He along with the Memphis Grizzilies were visiting the Denver Nuggets and after the game, and he decided to have some fun that night.
However, the Memphis Grizzlies along with the NBA didn’t like the social media post shared by Ja Morant, where in a video he appeared in a club and showed a gun towards the camera, and the team along with the organization eventually suspended Ja Morant.
Memphis suspended Ja Morant for 2 games, which are even important for the team as they will face the Lakers and Clippers respectively.

The Coca Cola company hasn’t issued a statement till now whether will they drop the player completely or keep the campaign on hold, however he is not featured but the Powerade website at present.
Ja Morant has overall been an important player for Memphis and has been solid for the team too. He has been contributing as an all-starter, and his absence can certainly affect the team’s performance to some extent. Though his social media event can’t be ignored too, and hence the consequences have arrived.
