ENA’s Climax premieres in days — and the more we learn about Cha Joo Young’s character, the more convinced we are that she’s about to deliver the most compelling villain-adjacent performance of 2026. Elegant on the surface. Calculating underneath. Absolutely dangerous. Let’s get into it.
Climax Meet Lee Yang Mi — Power in a Fur Coat
Cha Joo Young plays Lee Yang Mi, president of WR Hotel and a key powerbroker within the sprawling WR Group. She hasn’t just built a career — she’s quietly shaped the entire landscape where politics, business, and entertainment collide in South Korea.
With a presidential election looming, Lee Yang Mi is already several moves ahead — having thrown her strategic weight behind Nam Hye Hoon, the rising mayor of Seoam and a serious contender for the presidency. She doesn’t react to the world. She arranges it.
What makes her truly fascinating is the gap between what she shows and what she hides. Glamorous, composed, and always smiling — but those eyes? Calculating every angle in the room. The moment her carefully constructed world starts to crack, expect her to move in the boldest ways possible. 🔥

The Bigger Picture: A Power Cartel Drama With Real Teeth
At its core, Climax is the story of prosecutor Bang Tae Seob (Ju Ji Hoon) plunging headfirst into a power-driven cartel to climb South Korea’s most dangerous political ladder. Lee Yang Mi sits at the very heart of that world — a woman who built her power quietly and intends to keep it loudly.
This is the kind of Korean political drama that doesn’t just entertain — it makes you question every smiling face in a room. Ju Ji Hoon and Cha Joo Young together? That’s a clash of energies we absolutely cannot wait to watch unfold.
The new character stills alone — one featuring Lee Yang Mi in a bold patterned fur coat with a gaze that could cut glass, another in black fur with an unreadable smile — confirm this character is going to be the one everyone talks about.
