All About the Upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross

Citroen has revealed the price for the base variant, while the indicative pricing for the other two trims has been communicated to dealers to encourage bookings. The Plus trim is expected to be priced in the range of ₹11.30 lakh to ₹11.45 lakh, while the top-of-the-line Max trim is likely to be priced between ₹11.95 lakh and ₹12.10 lakh.

Additionally, for the Plus and Max trims, there will be an option for a 7-seat configuration, available at an extra cost of ₹35,000. Dual-tone paint and the Vibe pack, reserved for the Plus and Max trims, will be offered at ₹20,000 and ₹25,000, respectively.

The base-spec You variant comes only with a 5-seat configuration and lacks features like roof-mounted AC vents (found in the 7-seat variants), a 10.2-inch touchscreen, speakers, reverse camera, rear wiper, rear defogger, and USB chargers. However, it retains most of the safety features from the top-spec Max trim, including two airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, TPMS, and reverse parking sensors.

The Citroen C3 Aircross enters a highly competitive segment and competes with entry-level versions of various SUVs, including the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and the newly launched Honda Elevate. Despite lacking some premium features like a sunroof, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and six airbags offered in its competitors’ top-spec trims, the C3 Aircross is aggressively priced. Even the top-spec Max trim, at its higher indicative price of Rs 12.10 lakh, remains more affordable than the top-spec Maruti Suzuki Brezza MT, which belongs to a lower segment.

In terms of features, the C3 Aircross offers a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a reverse camera. Under the hood, it is powered by a 110hp, 190Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
