Manchester United are the latest club to register their interest in RB Leipzig midfielder Christopher Nkunku. The player already has 19 goals to his name this season, and is having his best-ever campaign in the Bundesliga.

As a result, some of the top names in Europe are interested in signing the player. Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester City and his former club, Paris Saint-Germain are in the race for him this summer.

Christopher Nkunku a transfer target for United

The Red Devils had no plans to go in for the 24-year-old before the appointment of Ralf Rangnick. But, the interim manager will also have a say in Manchester United’s transfer strategy once his term ends.

And Christopher Nkunku is one man that the German wants at the club, especially following Paul Pogba’s possible departure in the summer. The Frenchman’s contract runs out at the end of the season, and he could then leave for free. If United play their cards right, they can replace their record signing with his compatriot.

RB Leipzig have stated that they have no intentions of selling their star midfielder. He can play an attacking role through the middle, or out wide on either flank. And his ability to provide, as well as score, makes him a very valuable asset.

The player has over two years remaining on his current contract with the Bundesliga outfit. And Manchester United will have to pay a sizable transfer fee to get his signature in the summer, if he is indeed a top target for them.
