Chelsea are working to sign both Denzel Dumfries and Wesley Fofana in the coming days. The club needs defensive reinforcements, and have only added Kalidou Koulibaly to their ranks so far.

Leicester City have set an asking price of £80-85 million for Fofana, who is seen as a vital part of the team. He signed a new contract with the Foxes very recently, and manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that he isn’t for sale. However, that is not stopping Chelsea from exploring the options.

The Frenchman is keen on a move to Chelsea. It would give him exposure to the Champions League and would also give him a better chance at being called up for Didier Deschamps’ France national team for the World Cup. The youngster is yet to make his debut for the national team as of yet.

Chelsea are also exploring options to sign Denzel Dumfries as reinforcements for the right wing-back position. The Blues have had an initial bid rejected for the Dutchman, but are going to try again to sign the player.

Josko Gvardiol is another player on the list for Chelsea, but it seems likely that RB Leipzig will keep a hold of him for the coming season. The deals for Fofana and Dumfries are both going to be very difficult, but the Blues are willing to try again for both the players in the coming days.
