Chelsea experiencing mass exit; Todd Boehly contract issues, 13 players to seek leave

Recent reports suggest Chelsea players could consider an exit in less than a year after signing due to the clause. Their sole chance of featuring in the Champions League next season is by winning the tournament this season. Chelsea moved to the quarter finals last night, thanks to the 2-0 at home against Borussia Dortmund to close the tie 2-1.

What does manager Graham Potter has to say?

Manager Graham Potter has opened up about the squad he has to take care of, pointing out there might be some exits this summer. Accrodiyto reports, the 13 new signings in the previous two windows are unlikely to be sold. He said,

“There are challenges when you have got that many players. There are challenges in terms of what role they play because most players want to play. They want to play, be on the pitch and help the team. When they are not, it is a challenge for lots of reasons at this club.

When you go through a period of transition and the steps we have gone through then there are going to be periods when it is going to be tougher than you ideally want- it’s not optimal. I’m not complaining about it and I have to do my best to support and manage the club. Step by step I want to put the team in a better place than when I arrived.”
