Chelsea have identified Arsen Zakharyan as their next long-term target in the transfer market. The Blues have been very active in the transfer market, particularly in terms of signing young players that could break into the team in the future.
Todd Boehly’s side have submitted a €15 million bid for the midfielder, and are close to reaching an agreement with Dinamo Moscow for the player. This has been confirmed by the player’s agent, Pavel Andreev, as well.
Arsen Zakharyan to sign for Chelsea as next young talent
The youngster plays in a creative role for Dinamo Moscow, and was one of their best players last season – helping the team finish second in the league. He made 34 appearances, and scored nine while assisting the same number.
Chelsea were interested in signing the Russian since last summer, and have now made a move to bring him over. But, considering the competition in midfield right now, it is likely that he will be heading out on loan for further development.
Whether or not Arsen Zakharyan can break into the first team under the new system and ownership remains to be seen. The likes of Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei, Gabriel Slonina and Omari Hutchinson have already been signed as players for the future.
Wesley Fofana remains the priority for the first team, and Chelsea are going to launch a fourth bid to sign him soon.
