After a few noticeable defensive flaws, Chelsea had made some valuable addition in defense and goal. The addition of experienced Brazilian central back Thiago Silva, left-back Ben Chilwell, and goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is looking like a valuable addition now.
Chelsea has kept 5 clean sheets in last 5 matches in all competition. The last time they did the same in 2010 under Carlo Ancelotti who is managing Everton at present. Clean-sheet against Rennes in UEFA Champions League in the midweek was their 5th in a row.
Last season, in some matches Chelsea defenders and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga had made some awful mistakes. This season the club had learned from the past and don’t want the repeat of the same mistake.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was so delighted after breaking the 10-year-old club record. He said, “There are always different parts to that.”

Chelsea are now at 7th place in the Premier League table with 12 points from their first 7 games. They are just 4 points behind the leaders. They will now face Sheffield United at home this weekend.
