Notably, approximately 80% of smart home users initiated their journey by acquiring an Echo smart speaker bundled with a smart bulb. This concerted effort, coupled with heightened customer awareness, has yielded a staggering 200% surge in smart home devices connected to Alexa within the last three years.
Driving the Future of Smart Living in India
The significant upsurge in connected devices has also sparked a 100% increase in requests to Alexa for regulating compatible smart home appliances like lights, plugs, fans, TVs, security cameras, ACs, water heaters, and air purifiers. Users can seamlessly communicate with Alexa in English, Hindi, or Hinglish, issuing commands such as “Alexa, geyser चला दो,” “Alexa, turn off AC after 15 minutes,” or “Alexa, hall की lights dim कर दो.” Notably, controlling lights stands out as one of the most prevalent smart home requests. Furthermore, there has been a remarkable 37% surge in the usage of Alexa for managing smart fans and ACs, marking the highest increase among all smart home appliances over the past year.
