Olympiacos have had an impressive transfer window this summer, and Cedric Bakambu is set to become the latest addition to the team. The striker returned to European football only in January, after spending a few years with BJ Guoan.

During the latter half of the previous season, Bakambu only made four starts, and has found it difficult to make it to the first team. But now, it seems like the player will be moving on to a new club for the coming season.

The transfer window is closed for the major clubs in Europe, which means that he won’t be able to sign for a top club. However, he will become a deadline day signing for the Greek champions, who have moved for several big names this summer.

The medical is scheduled for the player to join, and it seems only a matter of time before the official announcement is made by Olympiacos. The 31-year-old has scored 151 goals in 363 games over his career, presenting a decent return so far.

Alongside Cedric Bakambu, Olympiacos have signed former Real Madrid players James Rodriguez and Marcelo. The midfielder is on a loan deal from Al Rayyan, while Marcelo joined on a free transfer after his contract expired.
