Imagine your college fest going absolutely haywire — not because of a sound system failure, but because students are literally turning into zombies. That is the wild, brilliant premise of College Fest, and honestly, it feels like a fever dream made specifically for Gen-Z. Directed by Vaibhav Bandhoo and produced by Vijay Koshy, College Fest is a horror-comedy film set in an engineering college during a zombie apocalypse — and it marks Ashish Chanchlani’s big Prime Video debut. What’s the Plot?
Set during a Gen-Z college fest, the story follows a mysterious infection that turns students into zombies, throwing the entire campus into chaos. As things spiral out of control, a group of students must face real consequences and a literal “brain rot” before everything around them collapses. Bollywood Hungama
The film mixes campus comedy with sharp commentary on brainrot culture and social media hysteria IMDb — which makes it feel incredibly timely. It is not just horror for horror’s sake; there is a satirical edge here that fans of TVF’s writing will immediately recognise.
College Fest: Cast
Ashish Chanchlani leads the film. Additional cast announcements are still pending as of March 2026 NewsBytes, so keep watching this space — more names are expected soon.
Why This Is a Big Deal

Coming off his YouTube horror-comedy series Ekaki, Chanchlani is officially stepping into the premium streaming league.
