The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta is just around the corner, and with it comes the excitement of diving into intense multiplayer battles. Before you can join the action, however, it’s crucial to ensure your PC is up to the task.
Activision has officially unveiled the minimum and recommended system requirements for the Open Beta, providing gamers with a clear picture of what they need to run the game smoothly.
Minimum PC Requirements
To run the application smoothly, your system must meet the following minimum requirements: a 64-bit version of Windows 10 (latest update), a processor equivalent to the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600, and at least 12 GB of RAM.
Your graphics card should be either an AMD Radeon RX 470, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, or Intel Arc A750, with a minimum of 3 GB of video memory. Additionally, an SSD is required for storage, and you will need a broadband internet connection along with a DirectX-compatible sound card.
Recommended PC Requirements
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a 64-bit version of Windows 10 (latest update) or Windows 11 (latest update). A processor such as the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i7-6700K is advised, paired with 16 GB of RAM.
A more powerful graphics card, like the AMD Radeon RX 6600XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, with at least 8 GB of video memory, will enhance your experience. An SSD remains a requirement, along with a broadband internet connection and a DirectX-compatible sound card.
Performance Expectations
The minimum requirements are designed to provide a playable experience at 30 FPS with low or medium settings. If you aim for a smoother, more visually appealing experience, the recommended requirements will allow you to enjoy Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at 60 FPS with high settings.
However, it’s important to note that even with recommended specs, frame rates may fluctuate in certain situations, so adjustments might be necessary to maintain optimal performance.
Download Size and Early Access
Keep in mind that the Open Beta will require a substantial download size of at least 149 GB. This is a significant amount of storage, so make sure you have enough space available on your SSD.
Early access to the Open Beta will be granted to those who pre-ordered the game and Game Pass subscribers, starting from August 30th. The general public can join the Open Beta from September 6th to September 9th.
