Carly Rae Jepsen & Cole Marsden Greif-Neill: Love Story Timeline

The Sweet Pregnancy Announcement

Jepsen shared four intimate black-and-white photos on Instagram, showcasing her growing baby bump alongside her new husband. The candid bedroom shots captured the couple’s joy as Greif-Neill lovingly touched her abdomen. The caption was beautifully simple: “Oh hi baby.”

The Canadian songstress appeared radiant in casual attire, smiling broadly as she embraces this new chapter. The announcement comes just one month after their October wedding, though the couple was already trying to conceive before tying the knot.

Who is Cole Marsden Greif-Neill?

Cole Marsden Greif-Neill is a six-time Grammy Award-winning music producer whose impressive career spans multiple genres and high-profile collaborations. His musical talent and industry expertise make him the perfect creative partner for Jepsen.

The couple’s relationship began professionally in May 2021 during a songwriting session, where they penned the unreleased track “No Labels I Love You.” Their creative chemistry soon blossomed into romance, and they officially began dating in 2022.

The Italian Proposal

After two years of dating, Greif-Neill proposed during a romantic month-long European vacation. The engagement took place at the luxurious Hotel Castello di Reschio in Umbria, Italy, on September 21, 2024.

Two days later, Jepsen shared the exciting news with fans via Instagram, posting a carousel featuring her stunning engagement ring—a dark gemstone set in a gold band. Her caption read simply: “Very engaged over here.”

A Chelsea Hotel Wedding

The couple chose the iconic Chelsea Hotel in New York City for their October 4, 2025 nuptials—a location steeped in artistic history. Approximately 100 guests attended the ceremony in the hotel’s famed Bard Room.

Explaining their venue choice to Vogue, Jepsen said: “We knew we wanted a location that meant something to us, and the Chelsea Hotel had become a home away from home every time we were in New York… As artists, its iconic history and lore made it that much more appealing.”

The Wedding Fashion

The bride wore not one, but two stunning designer gowns:

Ceremony: A strapless corseted dress with draped skirt by Australian designer Toni Maticevski

Reception: An ethereal tiered gown by Danielle Frankel

Both looks were accessorized with pearl earrings handmade by her mother, Alexandra Lanzarott. Jepsen’s dress choice was strategic: “We knew we were trying to get pregnant, so I also wanted an alternative dress that was much more flowy that I could sub in for the ceremony or just change into for dancing.”

The Rufus Wainwright Surprise

Wedding guests were treated to a surprise performance by Rufus Wainwright, the acclaimed Canadian-American singer-songwriter. He performed Leonard Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel #2″—a fitting tribute to the venue’s legendary status.

From Collaborators to Life Partners

What makes this love story particularly special is its foundation in creative partnership. The two-time Grammy-nominated Jepsen and her six-time Grammy-winning husband continue collaborating musically while building their family together.

Their relationship proves that the best partnerships often begin with shared passions and mutual respect—qualities that will undoubtedly serve them well as they transition to parenthood.
