It’s been over a month since BTS RM jetted off to Los Angeles to spearhead the group’s highly anticipated spring 2026 comeback album, but the homesickness is clearly setting in. In a touching Instagram update on August 5, RM captioned his photo carousel “Starting to feel like going back home..”, giving ARMY a rare glimpse into his emotional state while working abroad.

BTS RM’s LA Adventures: From Studios to Theme Parks

Despite the creative intensity of album production, RM has been making time for some quintessentially American experiences. His latest Instagram post revealed adorable moments from his recent Disneyland California adventure, where he was spotted in a butterfly shirt and chino pants, living his best life with Mickey Mouse and enjoying the park’s iconic attractions.

But it’s not all solo adventures for the BTS leader. The photos also showcased precious moments with fellow members Jimin and J-Hope during what appears to be a “Namjooning” session at a Los Angeles beach. The trio looked relaxed in casual wear, soaking up the California sun away from the recording studios.

Jin’s Solo Tour: The Final Stretch

While his bandmates create magic in LA studios, Jin is completing the final dates of his historic #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR – his first-ever solo world tour. The tour concludes with European dates, including London’s The O2 (August 5-6) and Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome (August 9-10), before Jin reunites with the group for album work.

This milestone tour has taken Jin across Asia, Europe, and North America, promoting his successful solo album “Echo” and proving his individual star power beyond the group dynamic.

The Emotional Side of Global Stardom

RM’s candid admission about missing home resonates with fans who understand the sacrifices behind BTS’s global success. After briefly returning to Seoul in July to host stylist Kimvenchy’s wedding alongside SUGA and J-Hope, the extended LA stay for album production has clearly taken an emotional toll.

The contrast between his professional commitments and personal feelings highlights the human side of K-pop’s biggest stars. While working on what promises to be another groundbreaking album, RM’s vulnerability reminds us that even global superstars experience homesickness.

What This Means for ARMY

For fans eager for new music, these LA sessions represent the creative foundation of BTS’s next chapter. The combination of established members like RM and SUGA with the fresh energy of reunited bandmates suggests an album that balances maturity with innovation.

The spring 2026 release timeline allows for meticulous crafting, ensuring the quality standards BTS is known for. With Jin set to join the team after his tour concludes, the complete septet will finally reunite for the final production phases.
