Brighton are showing they have the best scouting department in the Premier League once again, with Fabian Hurzeler set to become their new first team manager, replacing Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian left the club by mutual consent at the end of the 23/24 season, but is yet to find a new club.
On the other hand, Fabian Hurzeler will become the youngest manager in the Premier League, aged 31, now that the Seagulls have been granted a work permit for the manager.

Born to German and Swiss parents in America, the young manager took St Pauli to top spot in the 2.Bundesliga, helping them return to the top flight. St Pauli were struggling to survive in the second division when he was named the permanent first team manager in December 2022. He has since turned things around dramatically for them, helping them become one of the best in the 2.Bundesliga.
The 31-year-old has averaged 2.16 points per game in the 55 matches he has managed St Pauli. He was named the permanent manager in December 2022, after serving as Timo Schultz’s assistant since 2020.
Now, Brighton need to iron out the details with St Pauli for Fabian Hurzeler, after which he will officially make the move to the Premier League, and become the youngest to ever manage in England’s top flight.
