The season 1 of Bridgerton was a huge success among the audience. The period drama was released on Netflix in December 2020 and within the first month, it got a viewership of about 82 million. Since then the viewers have been waiting for the next season of the drama. Well, the good news is that the show is going to hit their Netflix screens very soon in 2022.

Release date
Netflix is going to release the second season of Bridgerton very soon in 2022, though a date hasn’t been fixed yet. Due to the ongoing pandemic, there have been several delays regarding the filming though all the scenes haven’t been wrapped up completely.

The Cast
From season 1 of Bridgerton, Phoebe Dynevor, Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley will still be a part of the show. Jean Page who played the character of Simon Basset, the male protagonist would no longer be one of the leading lights since his main conflict was solved.
Daphne Bridgerton played by Dynevor who was the leading lady in the first season, is going to play a smaller part in the second one.
Charithra Chandran will be making her debut as the female protagonist in the show as Edwina Sharma, while Shelley Conn will play the girl’s mother Lady Mary Sharma.
The plot
The season revolved around the sensual and complicated friends to lovers story for the protagonists’ Daphne and Simon. Anthony was a ladies man in the first season of Bridgerton but now he decides to find a wife and have a family. The second season is going to be all about his love story.

Anthony does want to find a wife and settle down but he fears that he will die young just like his father did. So he plans to marry someone who will be a good wife and mother but doesn’t want to fall in love with her madly. Edwina enters the scene and everything is perfect, apart from one thing her sister, Kate doesn’t like him because of his Casanova nature. Anthony decides to approach her and win her validation. he works very hard to turn Kate from an enemy into a friend. During that process, both of them develop feelings for each other. They end up having a scandalous kiss and are forced to marry. Though their relationship went through lots of ups and downs finally they were together in the second season of Bridgerton. Anthony lives longer than expected and with Kate, he has four kids.
