Brazil have named their full squad for the Copa America 2024 this summer, and the list features some notable exclusions. The Premier League’s Thiago Silva, Casemiro, Richarlison, Antony, Matheus Cunha and Gabriel Jesus have all been left out alongside Barcelona’s Vitor Roque and Juventus’ Bremer.

The lack of experienced strikers in the side is rather surprising, considering how good Richarlison and Matheus Cunha have been this season. Endrick has been named in the lineup alongside FC Porto striker Evanilson, who is 24 years old.

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Bento, Ederson

Defenders: Beraldo, Eder Militao, Gabriel Magalhaes, Marquinhos, Danilo, Yan Couto, Guilherme Arana, Wendell

Midfielders: Andreas Pereira, Bruno Guimaraes, Douglas Luiz, Joao Gomez, Lucas Paqueta

Forwards:Β Endrick, Evanilson, Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha, Rodrygo, Savinho, Vinicius Jr.

Neymar also fails to make the squad as he is still recovering from the ACL injury he sustained while on national team duty with Brazil. While Dorival Junior’s squad features some bold choices, it might just work out considering the star power that is still there in the squad.
