Borussia Dortmund are also in the race to sign Ivan Fresneda from Real Valladolid this winter. However, they would be open to letting the player stay back on loan until the summer.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are keen on adding him to their squad right away. However, they will need to offload Cedric Soares to Fulham before signing the youngster. There is another German club interested in signing the player, and the race is still open with no final decision being made as of yet.

The right-back is attracting interest from some of the top clubs in Europe right now. He has been billed as one of the top young full-backs in the continent, and is also attracting some attention from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Real Valladolid are expecting a fee worth €15 million for the player. His ability to play in an inverted role as well makes him a good fit for Mikel Arteta’s squad. However, no formal bid has been made from the Gunners as of yet.
The 18-year-old recently missed training due to discomfort, and could make a decision on his future very soon. Ivan Fresneda has represented Spain at the U18 and U19 level, and could become the next big player in that position after Dani Carvajal and Cesar Azpilicueta if he can fulfil his potential.
