The Numbers That Made Investors Take Notice

Pronto has grown its daily bookings from 1,000 to around 18,000 in just seven months, clocking over 20% week-on-week growth. The nine-month-old company just closed a $25 million Series B round led by Epiq Capital, pushing its valuation to $100 million — an 8x jump since it came out of stealth.

Why This Is More Than Just Another Home Services App

India’s domestic help market runs almost entirely on WhatsApp groups and word-of-mouth — no guarantees, no reliability, no safety net for workers. Pronto is fixing both sides of that equation.

The startup connects urban households with trained, background-verified professionals for everyday chores such as cleaning, laundry, utensil washing, and basic meal preparation, with dispatch times as fast as 10 minutes in its key micromarkets. Workers — called “Pros” — get structured shifts, predictable pay, health insurance, and even an emergency SOS button.

Workers completing roughly 20 days of shifts a month earn a median income of ₹23,000 to ₹25,000, with monthly retention above 70%. That’s a significant upgrade from the informal economy most domestic workers are trapped in today.

Pronto Road Ahead: 70,000 Bookings by June?

CEO Anjali Sardana has set an ambitious internal target of 70,000 average daily bookings by June 2026 — nearly 4x current levels. The fresh capital will go toward onboarding more professionals, deepening operations in existing cities, and testing new categories like cooking, car washing, and dog walking.

Competitors like Urban Company and Snabbit are also betting big on instant home services, making this one of India’s hottest startup battlegrounds right now.

On-demand home services represent one of the fastest-growing segments in India’s gig economy, with the sector projected to grow at 18–22% annually through 2030.
