Design and Comfort
The design of this headphone is over-head, and has cushion in the headrest and the earpieces. There are a exclusive design of grey and black in the black model and red-black design in the red model on the outer side of the earpiece. There is a boat logo on both the earpiece. Volume rockers, power buttons, 3.5 mm jack, microphone and LED light indicator is present at the lower side of the right earpiece. The headphone length is adjustable.
The cushions are very soft and gives a premium feel in-hand and after wearing it as well. The headphone is lightweight and does not feels like a burden after wearing for a long time. But users might face some uncomfort on ears after wearing for more than 2-3 hours.
Controls and Usage
There is a volume rocker by which you can control the volume of the headphone and it can also be used to change songs while paired in the Bluetooth. The power button will allow you to turn on and off the Bluetooth of Rockerz 550. The power button can also be used to receive and deny calls. It can also be used to turn on voice assistants by pressing for a few seconds.
After pairing with Bluetooth the headphone gives a playback time of almost a full day in medium volume. The volume of this headphone is very high, so it might not be needed to throttle up to the highest volume every time. It is also compatible while playing games like PUBG, and we recommend it to use the AUX (wired) mode while playing games.
The calling volume is also good, the sound is clear both in wired and wireless modes. The mic is also good and no kind of distortion is faced while talking in call.
Audio Quality
The audio quality of the boAt Rockerz 550 is amazing. The highs and lows are up to the mark. When the volume is 100% the sound has a soothing effect but is very loud so it might not be needed every time. The 50mm audio driver is quite good as the sound goes very high when at 100%.
