The event features 48 of India’s top-performing teams competing for a ₹1 Crore prize pool, culminating in a LAN Grand Finals in Hyderabad from October 16 to 18.
The tournament begins today, September 22, with the Promotion & Relegation stage, leading to the final competition at the Savaaya Convention in Gandipet, Hyderabad. The winning team will receive ₹30 lakh from the total prize pool.

BMSD 2026 operates as a closed-door, invite-only championship, with teams selected based on their performance in the KIE Leaderboard, BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES (BGIS), and BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRO SERIES (BMPS). The 2026 edition has expanded its field to 48 teams, doubling the participation from the inaugural 2025 tournament.
Notable teams competing include defending champions Orangutan, along with GodLike Esports, winners of BMPS 2026; Team Soul, champions of BGIS 2026; and Nebula Esports, winners of the BGMI Masters Series Season 5.
Pathway to International Play
The tournament serves as a crucial qualifier for international competition. The top six teams from BMSD 2026 will advance to the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA INTERNATIONAL CUP (BMIC) 2026, where they will compete against teams from Japan and South Korea. This international cup provides a pathway to the GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2026.
