Giannis Antetokounmpo took to Twitter to announce that he is planning to sign a maximum contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks that is reported to be worth $228.2 million over five years, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. It is the largest deal on the history of the league, and the contract has an opt out clause in 2025.

Every team in the league has been waiting to see what Antetokounmpo’s decision would be, as the big man had until December 21 to sign the supermax extension. He could have waited until the offseason to sign a new contract after the deadline passed, making him an unrestricted free agent allowing him to sign with any team in the NBA.
In Antetokounmpo’s announcement, he said:
“This is my home, this is my city. I’m blessed to be able to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks for the next 5 years. Let’s make these years count. The show goes on, let’s get it.”

Milwaukee Bucks can now enter the upcoming season without any contract discussions looming over their heads, and focus on their goal of moving to the NBA finals and winning a trophy with Giannis as the centrepiece. The Bucks used the offseason to reload and provide more depth and weapons around Antetokounmpo, post a disappointing second-round playoff loss last season.
They executed a trade bring two-way guard Jrue Holiday to Milwaukee in exchange for three future first-round picks, Eric Bledsoe and George Hill.

Apple is about to launch its Airpods Pro Lite and the company has confirmed that it is currently working on it. It is basically the “Lite” version of the Apple Airpods Pro TWS earbuds. The Airpods Pro-Lite will lack the active noise canceling feature. This is one of the major differences between the Apple Airpods Pro and the Airpods Pro Lite. For obvious reasons, it will carry a comparatively lower price tag.
Right now, Apple is in the works of making the Airpods Lite TWS earbuds and developing a system-in-package (SiP) product containing ‘H1’, an AirPod audio driver chip, through domestic materials partner. As per the design, it is expected to feature a simplistic square-shaped design. Apart from the active noise canceling feature, there should not be much difference between the base variant and the lite version. As per the reports, the upcoming Airpods Lite will undergo quality verification within this year and Apple will start its production in 2021. As it lacks the active noise canceling feature, the price of the device is expected to be 20 percent lower than the original one.
Apple has planned to launch the Airpods Pro Lite immediately after the base variant. But later, the company has delayed the launch of it to maximize its sales and margins as the demand and popularity exceeded the expectations. On her first day of practice, when she was barely the age of 15, she got exhausted after bowling an over, people around her made fun of her but, she kept believing in herself and one day she became the fastest Indian female bowler.
Born into a middle-class family in a small town of West Bengal named Chakdaha, Jhulan grew up at her aunt’s place, where she started playing cricket with her brothers.
Nothing could stop her from going to practice, in the scorching heat, chilly winter mornings, or heavy rains, she took the early morning train and travelled to Kolkata and in the evening she travelled back in the crowded train struggling every day.
But Jhulan, like any other girl in the country, also had to overcome a lot of societal pressure and constraints in order to take up cricket as a career as women’s cricket hadn’t gained the acceptance like that of nowadays, in India in the late 1990s, and talent often went unnoticed and unappreciated.
Opportunity comes to everyone’s life, so did it come in Jhulan’s life as well. She was called up for Bengal U-16 and then U19 team but unfortunately, due to lack of communication, she couldn’t make it to the team both times. But she didn’t lose hope and kept on practising. Then, as said hard work always pays off, with Jhulan, it happened. She made it to the U-19 Indian Women’s Cricket Team and after that, she never looked back.
At the age of 19, she made her international debut in 2002 in a One-day International against England in Chennai. Later on, she made her test debut on 14 January 2002 against England in Chennai. She produced an exceptional display of fast bowling in Taunton to destroy a star-studded English batting line-up. Her ten-wicket haul remains an important landmark in women’s cricket, as it helped India clinch a memorable victory.

She also has 50 wickets in 60 T20 Internationals.
Not only this, she is a great leader as well, as, in 2008, she took over the captaincy from Mithali Raj and held it till 2011.
Jhulan Goswami along with Mithali Raj helped India to reach the finals in the 2017 World Cup Team and finished as the runners-up. This is not the end, she is also an Arjuna Awardee and a Padma Shri recipient. In 2007, she was also awarded as the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year.
Jhulan Goswami along with Mithali Raj are the only Indians nominated in the women’s categories of the 2020 ICC Decade Awards.
