Real Madrid feeling Ronaldo’s absence in front of the goal and Bale suffers another injury

Real Madrid’s lack of incision is a real cause for concern. For the first time since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus, Real Madrid missed him. And Gareth Bale suffered another injury in the meantime.

In a goalless draw at home against city rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday, the Los Blancos looked blunt, failing to score for the second game running. Julen Lopetegui’s side was humiliated 3-0 by Sevilla on Wednesday. They were aiming to bounce back strongly against Atletico Madrid. But they had no cutting edge and ended up playing their part in a dour draw. Big players like Cristiano Ronaldo, show up in the big games. But his departure to Juventus in the summer, left a huge gap in the Real Madrid squad. They felt his absence in front of the goal. They lacked that penetration of Ronaldo.

Gareth Bale was the man supposed to take the throne in the absence of Real’s all-time top goalscorer. But unfortunately and predictably, the Welshman suffered a thigh injury and had to be replaced at half-time. Bale’s early performances this season showed plenty of promise. He has three goals under his belt already. Bale was the only attacking outlet for Real Madrid against Sevilla. He hit the post at one point. And against Atletico Madrid he sent an effort inches wide in the first half. But to the surprise of the fans he did not reappear for the second half. The young midfielder Dani Ceballos stepped into his shoes. The news that all Madrid fans were dreading emerged soon after.

Gareth Bale is injured again.

Isco is sidelined for potentially a month after having his appendix removed. Therefore Real Madrid are already short on creativity. So Bale’s latest injury-enforced absence thus comes as a devastating blow.

Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui said after the game that Bale would be assessed on Sunday. “Bale had discomfort in his abductor at half-time and as a precaution he didn’t come out for the second half.” said Lopetegui. Real Madrid will be hoping the damage is not serious, with a crucial match against Barcelona in La Liga approaching on October 28.

Ultimately, Real Madrid’s toothlessness in front of goal have cost them dearly. There is already a real danger of it becoming the recurring theme of the post-Ronaldo era.

Charging Problems

Well, the issue with the world’s current best smartphone is that – the new iPhone XS and XS Max both seem to be dumb while charging it via lightning cable(the one provided by Apple). It is claimed by hundreds and thousands of people via different Forums, Reddit and other social media that –

when they are plugging in the cable while the smartphone is in the locked state, the iPhone seems to be dumb and is not charging at all until you just unlock it

Isn’t this sound strange? An iPhone seems to be dumb while it’s getting charged via its cable. Its impossible for a man to put his iPhone in charging state and keep staring at it so that it gets charged properly…

What the Unbox Therapy has to say?

Many people complained this and only a few believed and brought this problem to the limelight. But famous YouTuber and the creator of Unbox Therapy aka Lewis Hilsenteger pointed out yesterday the truth in his video.

He reportedly was using the wireless charging to charge his new iPhones, so he did not notice any flaw until he started using the lightning cable. The default wall charger that comes with the iPhone out-of-the-box was not the only charger that was unable to charge the iPhone but also any charger could not even charge it up.

Lewis bought 8 iPhones including the different variants of iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. In his video, we can see only 2 of them charged when the smartphone was in a locked state. That’s ridiculous!! Others could only charge itself if and only if the smartphone screen was awake.

Five of the reaming 6 iPhones(two iPhone XS & three iPhones XS Max) charged up with the wall charger only if the screen remained awake. One of the iPhone XS models would not even charge at any circumstances with any charging cable.

Even one iPhone XS Max was not detecting any switches when it was plugged in with the charger! It eventually afterwards was not charging at all!!!

Some users have found that flipping the Lightning cable over can help (that suggests a hardware flaw in the Lightning port).

When you are spending $1000 and more, you expect a premium smartphone and as this is an iPhone, you expect a good product from the Trillion dollar company.

Any other issue could just be digested, but the primary charging issue is a damn bigger one. Even a $100 smartphone won’t just give such a nasty trouble.

Any solutions?

Now, with more and more customer feedbacks, Apple seems to be silent, even, no one from Apple answered to the problems of the customers who have questioned them in the forums.

But one poster from Apple support communities reports that Apple’s tech team is aware of the issue. They also suggest that this could be a major hardware problem that can likely be solved by replacing the device. Also, it might the new iOS 12 that might cause this fatal problem.

For now, you do not have any other option except wireless charging. Because people are saying that even after the phones getting replaced, people are facing the same old stupid problem.

Too much wireless charging can also degrade your iPhone’s battery health. And as Apple has been charging higher prices for iPhone XS and XS Max replacement batteries, so you can’t do that much often.

So, now currently its advised to you to not to buy any of the iPhone XS or XS Max until and unless this issue gets solved. Also, a solution to this major issue requires a lot of time. And even, who knows that later the colourful iPhone XR might also face similar problems.

Matej Poplatnik and Slavisia Stojanovic scored in the second half as Kerala scored only their second win over the Kolkata franchise, and first since the 2014 edition.

Former champions ATK suffered a 0-2 defeat to the two-time runners-up Kerala Blasters. In the opening match of the fifth edition of Indian Super League (ISL) at the Saltlake Stadium on Saturday. Matej Poplatnik and Slavisia Stojanovic scored in the second half as Kerala Blasters scored only their second win over the Kolkata franchise, and first since the 2014 edition.

However, it was Stojanovic who took the first shot at the goal with his left footer but it deflected off Gerson Vieira of ATK. Poplatnik got behind the defence and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper. A perfect finish to bring up the first goal of the ISL opening night.

Kerala Blasters had last beaten ATK, then Atletico de Kolkata, in the inaugural season of ISL on November 21.

ATK will play North East United FC at home in their second match of the season on October 4. Playing the first match of the season, both the teams put up an unsettled look. As a result a goalless stalemate prevailed in the first 45 minutes. But in the second half of the game ATK’s defencer’s were not able to stop the opponents. Aiborlang Khongjee, Gerson Vieira, John Johnson, Lalhmangaisanga Ralte looked a bit shaky.

Bangladesh gave a tough fight while India was chasing.Their bowlers were outstanding, with this low total they took the match to the last ball. Skipper Rohit Sharma was India’s top scorer with 48 while there were other contributions from the middle order batsmen. MS Dhoni made 36 runs.

Dhawan was dismissed for 15 and Rohit Sharma made 48 of 55 balls, with three sixes and three boundaries.

MS Dhoni was the key player for India, with two stumpings.

One of Liton Das who scored a century and another of Mashrafe Mortaza. His took only 0.16 seconds and 0.20 seconds respectively to make the stumpings. With these two stumpings MS Dhoni completes 800 Dismissals in all Internationals. He has played 90 Tests, 327 One-Day Internationals and 93 Twenty20 Internationals where he has affected 294, 419 and 87 dismissals respectively. He only stands behind Mark Boucher (998) and Adam Gilchrist (905) in the all-time list.

Kuldeep Yadav was the star bowler for India as he picked up three wickets. Kedar Jadav, the man with a golden arm a took two wickets in his nine over quota.

Liton Das slammed his maiden century for Bangladesh. Das made 121 runs of 117 balls which featured a dozen boundaries and two sixes. Bangladesh were all out at 48.3 overs despite the first wicket partnership of 120 runs by Hasan.

Xiaomi Mi Band 3 was launched at the company’s Smarter Living event held in Bengaluru on Thursday.

After dominating the smartphone space, Xiaomi wants to build a “smart living” portfolio that is comprised air purifiers, smart security system, fitness bands, and smart TVs. Interestingly enough, Xiaomi has been in some of the categories for quite some time. Smart security camera, however, is a newer category, indicating the company’s to build a smart home ecosystem, alike to Amazon approach for Alexa.

Xiaomi Mi Band 3 specifications:

The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 sports a 0.78-inch capacitive display panel with a 128 X 80 pixel resolution OLED touch screen, much larger than the 0.43-inch panel on the Mi Band 2. Other specifications of the Mi Band 3 include a 110mAh Li-ion polymer battery with a claimed battery life of 20 days, Bluetooth v4.2 LE support. The company uses thermoplastic elastomer for wristband material. For water resistance up to 50 metres, it comes with 5 ATM certification.

Dimensions of the budget fitness tracker are 179 X 469 X 12 mm and it weighs about 20 grams. In terms of functionality, the Mi Band 3 offers step tracking, heart rate sensing, calorie counter, distance counter, and date and time information. Users can also check real-time notifications and perform sleep analysis. Mi Band 3 is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 or above and iOS 9.0 and above.

Mi Band 3 carries a price tag of Rs 1,999 in both Amazon and Mi store. The successor to Xiaomi Mi Band 2, Xiaomi’s new fitness band comes with a slew of upgrades. For instance, it has a larger display, shows content from WhatsApp, Instagram, SMSes and other messaging applications. You can also view and reject calls from the screen. Unlike the HRX edition, Xiaomi Mi Band 3 retains the heart-rate monitor. It is also water resistant up to 50 meters and comes with up to 20 days of battery life.

Barcelona and Real Madrid both lost their La Liga matches on Matchday 6

La Liga champions Barcelona slumped to a shock 2-1 defeat at struggling Leganes. And then Real Madrid were resoundingly beaten 3-0 by Sevilla on Wednesday. Both the Spanish powerhouses lost on the same day for the first time since January, 2015.

Barcelona squandered an early Philippe Coutinho goal and lost 2-1 to last place Leganes. It’s bad, but it’s nothing compared to the indignity suffered by three-time defending UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid. They were on the wrong end of a 3-0 mauling on the road against Sevilla. It marked the first time both clubs — who have between them won the last five Champions League titles and six of the last eight — lost on the same day in almost four years.

Barcelona’s downfall

Barcelona’s loss came as Lionel Messi made his 700th appearance with the club, including 55 unofficial games. Messi’s celebration of his milestone match with the Catalan club was marred by a Leganes team which had only one point from its first five league games and was coming off three straight losses. The club from Madrid’s suburbs had never earned a point against Barcelona in its three seasons in the first division.

Nabil El Zhar headed home a looping cross in the 52nd minute to cancel out Coutinho’s goal. And barely 60 seconds later, Oscar Rodriguez scored thw winner to the joy of the 12,000 fans crammed into Butarque Stadium. Oscar is a former member of Real Madrid’s youth teams who is on loan with Leganes. It came after a bad mistake by Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, who gave the ball away while trying to clear it from inside the area.

It was the second consecutive setback for the defending champions. “We lost five points in three days.” Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde said. “Sometimes it’s difficult to explain what happens in a game. You have a game under control and then the opposition can do damage like they (Leganes) did in one minute.” Valverde added. “We wanted to get the second goal because a one goal lead is never enough. At 1-0 you’re close to an accident. We didn’t create the chances we’d have liked. That’s five points in three days gone and it’s difficult to explain.”

Real Madrid’s humiliating defeat

Portugal forward Andre Silva scored in the 17th and 21st minutes to take his league-leading tally to six goals. And Wissam Ben Yedder added another in the 39th to leave Sevilla in control at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

Luka Modric’s goal early in the second half wascancelled after VAR showed he was offside. Marcelo appeared to injure a muscle midway through the second half but coach Julen Lopetegui had already made all three substitutions. So it left Real Madrid with 10 men on the pitch. All these resulted in their humiliating 3-0 defeat.

“It’s simple, we gave it away in the first half. Then it was impossible to come back.” Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro said. “We came here with the aim of putting pressure on Sevilla and we couldn’t do it as we wanted to, that’s obvious, and Sevilla were the far superior side.” Lopetegui told reporters. “Sevilla was better and deserved to win.” Lopetegui added. “We didn’t start the way we wanted and paid for it by conceding two quick goals.”

In January 2015, Real Madrid were beaten by Valencia, while Luis Enrique’s Barcelona side were downed by Real Sociedad. After almost 4 years Real Madrid and Barcelona were beaten on the same matchday in La Liga.

Virat Kohli receives the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award after Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni

Indian captain Virat Kohli received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award from India President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday.

The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, officially known as Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in Sports and Games. It is the highest sporting honour of the Republic of India.

Kohli is the world’s No.1 Test batsman as per the ICC rankings. He is at the top of the game for the past three years. Virat Kohli was nominated for Khel Ratna Award in the years 2016 and 2017 but he missed out on those ocassion. He becomes the third cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni to receive this award. MS Dhoni recently completed his 200 th match as Indian Captain.

The 29-year-old currently has 6147 runs in 71 Tests with 23 centuries and 9779 runs in 211 ODIs with 35 tons. He has scored 58 tons in international cricket and is second in the list. The first in the list is Tendulkar with 100 international centuries.

Kohli is one of those rare sportspersons, who has received Padma Shri award (2017) before Khel Ratna. This year, Kohli was a favourite after having led India to victories against England and Australia at home and away wins against West Indies and Sri Lanka.

The Indian team has also won limited-overs series in South Africa, Australia an England under Kohli’s leadership.

He is a member of the 2011 ICC World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy winning team. Kohli was also the member of 2015 ICC World Cup team. He also led the team to the finals of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

Kohli has also been the recipient of ICC’s ‘ODI Cricketer of the Year’ in 2012 and 2017 along with the sport’s highest honour – the ICC Cricketer of the Year. Kohli has won the Indian Cricketer of the Year five times.
