Lucasfilm and EA has a break-up

0

Lucasfilm and Electronic Arts have a long-standing relationship, and EA developed all the Star War games from the series. We all know how degrading the experience it had been with the Star War games, I mean, we know the latest movies don’t leave up to Luke Skywalker and Han Solo’s reputation, but the games, in particular, were disappointing.

But now it seems that Lucasfilm, the studio that owns the franchise has finally started to realize and recognize the importance of their games. The studio announced that it has now partnered with Ubisoft to develop a story-driven, open-world Star Wars game.

A few days back the company unveiled its Lucasfilm Games branding and announced the same for all its games in the future. and now the company announced the end of its near-decade-long relation with Electronic Arts.

The deal with Lucasfilm and EA gave the latter exclusive right to produce and publish Star Wars games. The deal was heavily criticized as it didn’t leave room for any improvement. The deal didn’t allow any other third party to get involved in the game’s production. But the games produced by EA has not lived up to the expectations of the fans of the franchise. Lucasfilm saw these mistakes by EA and is correcting the issue.

“We’re looking to work with best-in-class teams that can make great games across all of our IP. We’ve got a team of professionals here at Lucasfilm Games who can work with the developers, shape the stories, shape the creative, shape the games, to make them resonate with fans, and deliver across a breadth of platforms, genres, and experiences so that all of our fans can enjoy the IPs that they know and love.”

Ubisoft’s proprietary Snowdrop Engine will be used in the future games of Star Wars and it creates stunning realistic and immersive environments. “This is just the beginning of what I think is going to be a very exciting year for Lucasfilm Games.”

With the launch of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, we can expect Lucasfilm to play it big.

Heading back to the teaser we can see a slightly thick chin and slimmer bezels on other sides. ASUS ROG Phone 3 had noticeable bezels on all sides especially on the forehead and chin but this time it might get limited to the chin only. Another noticeable thing in the poster is that the company has connected 6 starts which might hint at the cameras of the phone but we are not sure about this. CES 2021: Razer unveils Project Brooklyn Gaming Chair concept

0

At CES 2021, Razer took a bold step and introduced its concept devices at the world’s biggest IT event. for the unknown, the concept products are nothing but bold ideas which the company’s engineers are testing and trying to make work.

The manufacturer introduced its new plan which is the ‘Project Brooklyn.’ The new project will have immersive audio, cabling, and also a 60-inch 180-degree curved OLED display.

The gaming chair looks like a normal chair but can deploy an OLED gaming display from the rear when needed. It will have Razer HyperSense, 4D armrests, the same cable management system from the Razer Laptop 27.

The project is one of the most ambitious tasks which the company has undertaken.

Here are the details from the official press release from Razer:

“With design inspiration from the Razer Iskur introduced in October 2020, Project Brooklyn takes leaps forward in user touchpoints, connecting the gaming chair to the display and its more functional components like armrests while still delivering on comfort from plush, high-density foam cushions that support your unique body shape. The leather-stitched seatback is constructed in a robust carbon fiber body to maintain perfect posture throughout gaming marathons.

The adjustable platform on which the chair sits is complete with cable-routing and takes design cues from the Razer Raptor monitor. Mounted from the chair’s backbone and deployable with the touch of a button is a 60″ full surround OLED display for stunning visual detail. Folding into the chair back when not in use, the roll-out display assembly plunges you into the center of the action with crisp detail and a savory panoramic experience.

The fully transformable 4D armrests neatly tuck away collapsible tables with flexible ergonomics, allowing you to switch easily between PC gaming with a mouse and keyboard and console gaming. There are separate panels in each armrest, allowing for different keyboard and mouse ergonomics, and each half folds away when not in use.”

There is no official confirmation as to when the company will launch any other significant details about the new chair, but the idea looks something right out of a  sci-fi movie.
