Android 12 developers preview released

0

Google will be releasing the developer preview of its next Android version, the Android 12 for pixel devices. as the tradition has been, the developer preview will be laced with a lot of developer-facing changes. But not everything will be the same as the developer’s preview. As we already know, Google has a tendency of holding back many of the UI changes, and that it will at least not be released for a minimum of two months since the release of the developer’s preview.

From what we know, the developer preview includes some changes to the UI for notifications. The developer’s preview is available for Pixel 3 and newer phones but needs to be manually installed by flashing your device. But the update is It’s likely nowhere near ready for day-to-day use, but Google is promising that it will continue its beta program for regular users later this year.

According to sources, the new version will have a new transcoding layer that will automatically make the HEVC video format work in apps that don’t natively support them. The new version will also support spatial audio, support MPEG-H, and be optimized for up to 24 channels of audio (up from eight before).

Google also will be adding support for the AV1 Image File Format. The format is an offshoot of the AV1 video format that major tech companies proposed some years back and both Netflix and Google have partially adopted. But, Google says that it does not intend to make AVIF the default image format for the camera app.

The developers at Google said that the notification design has been changed to make them more modern, easier to use, and more functional. In the developer preview, you’ll notice changes from the drawer and controls to the templates themselves. The transitions and animations across the system have been optimized to become more smooth and functional.

Google will also be changing how full-screen apps work. With Android 12, Google says that it is “changing the default to allow users to navigate their phone with one swipe.”

Arjun Tendulkar bought by Mumbai Indians at his base price of Rs 20 Lakh

Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar, and a left-handed batsman and a left-arm fast bowler, was bought by Mumbai Indians at the mini IPL 2021 auction of his base price, Rs. 20 lakh.

Arjun’s name was the last in the auction, and it was only Mumbai Indians who bid for the 21-year-old and was eventually bought by them in the team, where his father once had played for.

Arjun has bowled in India nets quite a few times and has also played for India U-19, and has made his debut for the senior Mumbai T20 team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy recently, at the right time just before the auction, where he scored 77 runs off just 26 balls in addition with picking up three wickets to help his side win the Police Shield Invitation Tournament in Mumbai. Arjun played two T20s  for Mumbai this season where he picked up two wickets with his best of 1 for 33.

Another reason for picking up Arjun by the Mumbai is he comes with a quality that IPL teams usually look after, the wide variation that left-arm pacers bring.

IPL 2021 Auction: Arjun Tendulkar Goes To Mumbai Indians For Base Price Of Rs 20 Lakh

However, the experience that Arjun gained from bowling at the nets from the Indian players should provide him with a good pace in a tournament that is very likely to have happened anything he has played in his career so far, but for that, he first has to make it to the Mumbai XI first and to do so he has to compete with some veterans of T20 cricket.

The company has also explained its partnership with Tencent Games which is continuing for the past consecutive three years starting from the partnership with Asus ROG Phone 2 in 2019. This post is made by the company in their official Weibo account.

Asus ROG gaming has not confirmed the launch of the ROG Phone 5 yet, but it is expected to launch in the month of March as in case of launch in February the company would have already revealed the date. So, let’s wait for any official word from the company.

We can expect two variants of the Asus ROG Phone 5 with model codes-  ASUS_I005DA and ASUS_I005DB. Among these, the I005DA seems to have a Dot-Matrix LED like the ones on ROG Zephyrus G14 Laptops, whereas, it seems missing in the other model.

According to Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the Asus ROG Phone 5 is launching soon and it will also debut in India in March. As much as we know there will be some delay between the China launch and the India launch. So, it is possible that the phone might be launched in India a few days after the China launch.

It is very likely we will not see the Tencent Gaming partnership on the Indian model of the ROG Phone 5. As we all know that PUBG was banned in India as it has a direct partnership with Tencent Gaming (a Chinese company), so, in this case also the company will make sure that Tencent is not involved with the phone when it will launch in the Indian market.

This is a really stunning refresh rate considering that most of the smartphones come at the most with 120 Hz refresh rate.

Yes, a few of the handsets of ASUS, Lenovo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE did arrive with a refresh rate of 144 Hz but none of them was able to touch the mark of 160 Hz. It will be interesting to see how Realme can connect this amazing feature with the normal audience.

Arsenal midfield loanees decisions made: keep one & sell one?

0

Arsenal loanee Lucas Torreira is coming back to London after finding a lack of playing time at Atletico Madrid. The player was temporarily sent out due to the arrival of Thomas Partey in midfield, though it is still maintained that the two deals were independent of each other.

Arsenal are planning to sell Torreira once his loan spell with Madrid expires and he is at the Emirates again. Fiorentina are interested in signing the midfielder, according to the Italian transfer insider duo of Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio via the Here We Go podcast.

The Gunners will have to potentially part ways with the Uruguayan for well below his market value if the priority is getting him off their books. Torreira is valued at €28 million according to Transfermarkt, and at 25, still has time on his side.

Coming to another Arsenal midfielder out on loan, we broach the topic of Matteo Guendouz. Interestingly, while Arsenal want to part ways with Torreira, they want to see what happens when Guendouzi comes back from Hertha Berlin. But they want to wait before they decide whether to sell the player, or send him out on loan, or give him another chance at the Emirates.

The France U21 player has made 16 appearances for Hertha so far this season, and at 21 years of age, could still be a part of Arsenal’s long term plans. However, we will have to wait and see how things truly play out between the fiery youngster and the London Reds.

Real Madrid enters race to sign David Carmo

0

According to a report from Spanish publication AS, reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race for David Carmo as they continue to chase a long-term replacement for Sergio Ramos.

The club is reportedly keeping tabs on the 21-year-old defender, who plies his trade for Portuguese outfit, Sporting Braga.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has a good relationship with Braga chief Antonio Salvador which gives the Spanish champions an advantage should a transfer race fire up for Carmo.

The report also indicates that Liverpool, who were desperately seeking a stand-in for injured defender Virgil van Dijk, wanted Carmo to join them in January but could not agree on a fee for the loan or the potential permanent transfer fee which leaves him up for grabs with several clubs, including Madrid. The defender is contracted by the Portuguese club until 2025 and has a release clause of £36million.

Manchester United have also been tracking Carmo’s progress for a while. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems eager for a left-footed centre-back to bolster their defensive options. Sportsmail reported last year that a minimum of 10 other clubs were also ready to sign him.

Having joined their U-17 setup from Sanjoanense, Carmo has been with Braga since 2015. The centre-back gradually rose through the ranks at the club before making his team debut in January last year. Since then, he has made 40 appearances across all competitions, 21 of which have come in the ongoing campaign.

The budding star is a physical specimen, standing at 1.96, his rise to prominence at Braga over the past year has attracted plenty of interest from several clubs across Europe.

POCO India’s new logo and “MadeOfMad” mascot | POCO X3 Pro 4G launch expected around March 10 in India

0

POCO, one of the brands of Xiaomi, has launched a very interesting new logo and a mascot. It has been announced by POCO India and not by POCO Global. A few months ago, Realme took a similar set where they unveiled their new mascot ‘Realmeow’. It seems like POCO India is ready to bring a fight a to them and show their creativity. POCO India has named it “Made Of Mad“ and it’s also a mascot of the brand from now on.

The new mascot appears in the first ‘O’ letter of POCO India logo. The mascot shows all three emotions; madness, evil, and a bit of Goodness. Basically, it is an emoticon with three different attributes. The ring above the head of the emoji resembles goodness. The antenna-shaped ears show the naughty side of the emoji. The eyes are shaped in such a manner that gives out an Evil look. You can see more in details from the above image. It is the official explanation of the new mascot from the company.

Apart from this, there is another major news from the house of Poco India. Their smartphone, Poco X3 Pro, has been approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and we might see it hit the market very soon. According to a tweet from a tipster, we can see Poco X3 in the stores by the first week of March 2021. Poco X3 flaunts a 6.67-inch FHD+ display and has a solid refresh rate of 120Hz.

It is run by the Snapdragon 732G chipset. But according to the tweet, this handset will not be a 5G smartphone. It is expected to house a quad-camera system with 64 MP of the primary camera. Along with that, it hosts a 20 MP selfie snapper. The smartphone is backed by a powerful 6,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. Being a 4G device and not a 5G device is one of the biggest con of the device. Will it be able to attract the customers? Let’s see.

NVIDIA launches CMP 30HX, 40HX, 50HX, and 90HX GPUs For Mining

0

NVIDIA has finally accepted the massive mining demand from India’s GPU market and across the globe right now and has launched a series of dedicated cryptography mining GPUs named CMP (Cryptocurrency Mining Processor). It’s the first time an official product has been launched from NVIDIA itself.

NVIDIA is going to launch a total of 4 CMP graphics cards. Two of them, CMP 30HX and 40HX, are set to come in Q1, and CMP 50HX and 90HX are set to come in Q2. Right now, it’s not known which HX correlates to which GeForce GPU. However, we can guess this using the memory size and using the TDP and hash rate to come to the same conclusion. Up to 86 MH/s of has rates, the company is indicating strongly about a full lineup.

For example, the RTX 3070 has a hash rate of 50 to 60 MH/s. No other CMPs are getting matched with this rate. Let’s see if NVIDIA uses the lower binned dies of the GeForce models having lower core counts or not.

Designed for the professional mining operations

NVIDIA CMP features a fully open, air-flow optimized bracket and is made to allow one CPU to control a higher number of GPUs.

Optimized for the best mining performance

The architecture of the NVIDIA GPU allows you to mine more effectively and recoup your mining investment quickly.

Available from authorized partners

Available from the authorized partners, including MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS, PC Partner, EVGA, Colorful, and Palit.

Also, it is not clear how the process to halve RTX 3060 mining rate will be received. Some are saying if anyone buys the hardware, then he/she reserves the right to use it to its full potential.

Below, here is the full press release about the NVIDIA CMP series:

We are gamers, through and through. Yet NVIDIA GPUs are programmable. And users are constantly discovering new applications for them, from weather simulation and gene sequencing to deep learning and robotics. Mining cryptocurrency is one of them.

With the launch of GeForce RTX 3060 on Feb. 25, we’re taking an important step to help ensure GeForce GPUs end up in the hands of gamers.

RTX 3060 software drivers are designed to detect specific attributes of the Ethereum cryptocurrency mining algorithm, and limit the hash rate, or cryptocurrency mining efficiency, by around 50 percent.

To address the specific needs of Ethereum mining, we’re announcing the NVIDIA CMP, or, Cryptocurrency Mining Processor, product line for professional mining. CMP products — which don’t do graphics — are sold through authorized partners and optimized for the best mining performance and efficiency. CMP lacks display outputs, enabling improved airflow while mining so they can be more densely packed. CMPs also have a lower peak core voltage and frequency, which improves mining power efficiency.

Arkadiusz Milik has a release clause in his Marseille contract

0

Arkadiusz Milik was linked to Spurs, Everton, Juventus and Roma and was a backup option at Napoli before he signed with Marseille. The Polish international is a good striker, and was chased by the likes of Atletico Madrid too in the winter transfer window before they signed Moussa Dembele from Lyon.

Fabrizio Romano further commented that the player, In his contract right now, has a release clause for all clubs this summer worth €12 million. This presents itself as a big opportunity and a great deal. Milik has made two appearances for Marseille so far and already has a goal to show for it.

Juventus are looking for a new striker next season, and should they choose to not make Alvaro Morata’s loan deal permanent, Milik could be an interesting option since they have been watching the player for a long time now.

Moreover, he has good experience of Serie A and could challenge the forwards at the club too. With a release clause worth €12 million in the modern transfer window, the situation demands attention since the money can be afforded by almost every club across Europe.

The final decision on the matter, of course, rests with Milik and the club that he wants or chooses of all those who could be in the race for the number 9. Milik is currently on loan at Marseille, with the deal set to end in June 2022. However, another club could easily swoop in and flip the situation.
