The Rumored “Battlefield Hub” of Battlefield 2042 will Feature Remasters of Classic Maps

0

EA and DICE came up with lots of details regarding Battlefield 2042 in the past couple of weeks, releasing the trailer with the gameplay footage, but there are still some sneaky points of the game. Most important, the Battlefield 2042 website lists a game mode named “Redacted”, which is described like this…

“Created as a love letter to our core fans, a new way to play Battlefield is coming. Discover unexpected battles and enter the wide universe of Battlefield with this experience.”

A renowned leaker, Tom Henderson has provided some more information in a new video. You can watch the video below. Mostly, the Redacted mode will be the Battle Hub or “Battlefield Hub”, a new fun celebration of the franchise is in the works at DICE LA.

“[Battlefield Hub] is going to contain remasters of maps from old Battlefield titles. It’s going to be [maps] on the Battlefield 2042 engine. The movement and stuff like that is going to be exactly the same, but you’re essentially playing on a remastered map with different weapons and vehicles from past Battlefield titles.”

“Specialists will be moving over to the Battlefield Hub and there will be no traditional class system [like] we’ve seen in those past Battlefield titles. The majority of the maps will be 64-players only, but the Battlefield Hub will support up to 128 players on current-gen consoles and PC. It will just depend on the map. 64-players only on last-generation consoles, which confirms to me as well that this Battlefield Hub will be coming on both past and current-gen consoles.”

It seems that this mode is gonna be all about the sandbox craziness…

“The Battlefield Hub is going to be the ultimate sandbox experience and is going to be the “fun” game mode. The reason [my source] has described it as a fun game mode is because they say that this isn’t necessarily going to be a competitive experience or a balanced experience. Instead, this is going to be the ultimate sandbox experience when players are just going to be able to have fun — a Battlefield 1 tank vs. a Battlefield 3 tank.”

Henderson informed a bit more things regarding the Hazard Zone mode, specifically that this will be a free-to-play component of the game. For now, take all this as a pinch of salt.

Battlefield 2042 is going to launch on 22nd October for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC. The ‘Redacted’ mode will be disclosed on 22nd July at EA Play Live.

Adama Traore doesn’t rule out Barcelona transfer

Adama Traore is a graduate of FC Barcelona’s renowned La Masia youth setup and is keeping the door open for a return to Camp Nou. The Wolves winger is fascinated by the possibility of a return to Barcelona and is willing to discuss the possibility with his representatives.

For a while, the speculation about a move to Camp Nou has swirled around the winger, with his status soaring in England. The 25-year-starting old’s role at Molineux is no longer certain. However, after forcing his way into the Spain team, a reunion with the Catalans could yet be on the cards for the native.

Traore stated on the matter, “Barcelona is my home. I grew up there, and was there for 10 years. I have to discuss things with my agents, and see what role Barca needs for a return.”

Traore only played four competitive matches for Barcelona before choosing to move elsewhere. In the summer of 2015, he moved to Premier League side Aston Villa. However, after being relegated in his first season, he agreed to a move to Middlesbrough a year later.

After Middlesbrough suffering relegation from the Premier League, Wolves provided him a pathway back to the top flight in 2018. During his time at the West Midlands, Traore made 131 appearances and scored 10 goals. With the goal of adding to a five-cap haul at Euro 2020, senior international recognition has been established, and interest from afar continues to grow.

Traore was reportedly in talks with Wolves about a new contract, according to sources. However, no documentation has been signed, and his current contract will end in the summer of 2023. Wolves don’t find themselves under any pressure to sell. However, there has been a lot of change at Molineux, both on and off the field, which could cause future plans to be altered.

Bruno Lage has taken over as manager of the Premier League club after Nuno Espirito Santo stepped down, and it remains unclear whether Traore will feature in his plans. The Barca discussion is likely to continue, although the Liga giants are currently well-stocked in attacking quality. This summer, Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero were recruited. As a result, Traore’s ambitions to return to his roots may have to be postponed.

Barcelona confident in Messi’s contract extension until 2023

0

Barcelona are confident that Lionel Messi will extend his contract with the club. Negotiations have taken place, and club president Joan Laporta has been vocal of the fact that they see the Argentine staying at the club as a priority.

The player could extend his deal with the club until 2023, and according to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, it is only a matter of time before the six-time Ballon d’Or award winner renews his contract with the only professional club that he has ever played for.

Last summer, things seemed to be reaching a breaking point between Messi and Barcelona. The player had handed in a transfer request via burofax, and confirmed that in an interview later on. Then president Josep Maria Bartomeu ultimately convinced him to stay, but he had a shaky start to the season on the pitch.

Despite that, Messi finished the 20/21 campaign with the Pichichi trophy, and also led Barcelona to the Copa del Rey by beating Athletic Club in the final. However, they narrowly missed out on the La Liga title which highlights the inconsistencies within the team that have caused Messi trouble.

The ultimate aim for La Pulga is to win the European title again, and Barcelona, with their recruitments this summer, are putting themselves in prime position to become genuine contenders again. With that said, talks between Messi and the club have been satisfactory and the Barcelona officials expect the deal to be official very soon.

‘Clever’ Cristiano Ronaldo key to Portugal’s hope of qualifying in Euro 2020

0

Portugal currently has 3 points from 2 games and needs to secure at least 1 point to qualify to the Round of 16 in Euro 2020. They face already-qualified France in their last group stage match.

Germany face Hungary and also need 1 point from their match while Hungary will need to win against Germany to qualify.

According to Jose Mourinho, ‘clever’ Cristiano Ronaldo is key to Portugal’s hope of qualifying in Euro 2020.

Mourinho said on Breakfast: “Physically, he is very fit of course. He has changed his game.”

“He is not of course, the winger anymore. He is not even the winger who has the freedom to come inside, he is clearly now a number nine.”

“So he reduces his runs, he reduces his individual actions; he is very clever in the way he manages his game and his energy.”

“He is a finisher; he has two chances and he will score one or two goals, and of course he is still very, very fit to use with power like in the first goal.”

“So he is still a very important player for us.”

Mourinho also said about Bruno Fernandes: “I hope he turns up against France because he is a player with an incredible potential,”

“He can pass, he can score, he can get penalties, he can score penalties, he can score free-kicks and he has a lot to give.”

“But the reality is that, in these two matches, he was not there. Portugal has three fantastic attacking players; Bernardo Silva, Cristiano, Jota.”

“They are three very good players and we need that connection. Until now, Bruno is not playing.”

Gigabyte’s custom Radeon RX 6600 XT GPUs spotted with 8GB GDDR6 memory

0

The budget GPU market has not yet been fully blessed with lot of new GPUs, though you have a lot of RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti options but they are rare to get. AMD’s GPU stocks have been very poor and you do have to have a microscope to find one for yourself these days.

Meanwhile, its first Navi 23 GPU has already been announced in the form of the new Radeon RX 6000M graphics, however, now you do the leak of the new Radeon RX 6600 XT GPU. Now, a new leak from Eurasian Economic Commission has shown the upcoming Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics cards are coming soon.

We already tested out the RX 6700 XT that was solely targeted toward 1440p gaming and was quite good, however, prices are quite inflated for the GPU. Meanwhile a new discrete GPU in the form of RX 6600 XT and Gigabyte has in fact filed six of these graphics card models to EEC:

  • Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming PRO (GV-R66XTGAMING PRO-8GD)
  • Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming (GV-R66XTGAMING-8GD)
  • Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming OC (GV-R66XTGAMING OC-8GD)
  • Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT Eagle OC (GV-R66XTEAGLE OC-8GD)
  • Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT Eagle (GV-R66XTEAGLE-8GD)

The common factor among all of them is that they sport 8GB GDDR6 memory and is similar to the RTX 3060 Ti that sports 8GB GDDR6 memory while the RTX 3060 sports 12GB of VRAM. The Radeon RX 6600 XT is supposed to be based on Navi 23 XT GPU that debuted in the mobile market with RX 6600M.

So, all of these products come with very high clock speeds (up to 2.9 GHz) and relatively low power consumption (~100W). Furthermore, thanks to the efficiency of RDNA 2, we could see a reference single-fan GPU from the Radeon RX 6000 series (most probably Navi 23-based) to be launched in the first half of this year as promised by CEO Dr Lisa Su.

AS Roma set to complete signings of Rui Patricio and Granit Xhaka soon

0

Roma are getting right down to business, with the transfer window in England open for business. The capital club are planning on recruiting two players from the Premier League to add to the squad.

The first is Granit Xhaka of Arsenal, who has long been linked with an exit from the Emirates. Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the player and sees him as a vital part of the project that he is trying to build at the Italian club.

Granit Xhaka Arsenal AS Roma set to complete signings of Rui Patricio and Granit Xhaka soon

The two parties are in advanced negotiations regarding a move to Rome, and there are positive feelings that a move will eventually be official. Xhaka is pushing to leave Arsenal, and the deal could be completed as soon as the next few days.

The Portuguese tactician is also in the market for a goalkeeper, and he has singled out Rui Patricio of Wolves as the top target. A fee worth around €10 million has been agreed for the Portugal number 1, and his move to Roma could be completed in the next few days as well. Currently, though, Patricio is involved with Portugal in the Euros and has the knockout stages to focus on.

Should Patricio leave the Molineux, Wolves are looking at Olympiacos goalkeeper Jose Sa as the replacement. The player is yet to announce his final decision, but personal terms have been agreed between Roma and Patricio as of the weekend.

Manchester United’s dire financial condition summed up

0

Manchester United could be surpassed in revenue by rivals Liverpool and Manchester City in 2021. That is according to football finance expert Swiss Ramble.

In the first nine months of 20/21, revenue fell 6% from £428 million to £400 million. The losses cannot simply be explained by the absence of fans due to the pandemic. Their rivals’ better performance in match days and in Europe is also one of the main reasons behind their decline.

‘United’s new £47m TeamViewer shirt sponsorship is much less than Chevrolet £64m, while The Hut Group pulled out of replacing Aon training ground £15m deal due to bad Super League publicity,’ he explains.‘In the 5 years up to 2020, no owners in the Premier League have taken out more money than #MUFC’s £133m (dividends £112m, share buy back £21m),’ the report continues.

‘In stark contrast, some owners have put in significant funds: Everton: £348m, Aston Villa £337m and Chelsea £255m.’

The most damning stat that proves United’s situation right now is the fact that they have over half a billion pounds in debt. Only Tottenham have more debt accumulated, and that is mainly due to them building a brand new stadium.

Should these financial losses continue, United will drop down to third in revenue collected. Swiss Ramble also notes that United were the only club to pay a big dividend in 19/20. The Glazers were paid their full £23 million, while other clubs have even had to put in cash to help them run.

With player sales also generating minimal revenue, it is no surprise as to why United supporters are so vocal about their dislike of the Glazers and why they want them out.

Ranked: The Highest Earning Female Gamers Per Country!

0

In the wake of E3, many gamers have been left clamouring for more updates regarding their favourite games. Not every game was given the spotlight, however, as many high profile fanbases (such as Animal Crossing) were left without mention.

One of the biggest turning points at this conference, however, was how diversity in gaming has been promoted to the main stage. Spurred on by talk of diversity in gaming, ManySpins.com decided to investigate the 500 highest earning female gamers in the world and determine which country has produced the highest number of top earning female players!

ManySpins.com can reveal that, in first place, is the United States. Almost two fifths of the highest earning female gamers originate from the US, at 161 gamers! Top earning players include Mystik, Emy, and Hafu, and all top U.S. players have earned a combined sum of over $1.8million.

In second place is Russia, with 38 top earning female gamers. Top gamers from Russia include CS:GO champs vilga and Ant1ka. Russian players have earned over a quarter million, with total earnings calculated at $333,495.30.

Ranking third is China, with 37 top earning female gamers. Top gamers from China include Liooon and Eloise, both Hearthstone players, and the combined wealth of all Chinese players is $485,505.39.

In fourth is Canada, home to 35 of the top earning players! The highest earning female player of all time, StarCraft II pioneer Scarlett, hails from Canada and has won more than $300,000 from the game alone! Despite ranking fourth, gamers from Canada have earned the second highest of all with a combined wealth of $847,702.60.

5. Brazil = 32 female gamers

6. France = 30 female gamers

7. Sweden = 19 female gamers

8. Republic of Korea = 17 female gamers

In ninth place is Germany, with 13 of the highest earning female gamers originating from the European country. Despite ranking above the UK, German female gamers have not earned as much with a combined sum of only $41,364.94.

Finally, ManySpins.com can reveal that in 10th place is the United Kingdom, with 12 of the 500 highest earning females living in the UK. Players from the UK have earned a combined sum of $102,592.73.

When conducting this study, Kevin Roos, spokesperson for ManySpins, had this to say;

It’s vital now that we’re in 2021 to breakdown the stereotype that gaming is a ‘boys club’; as Laila Shabir stated in the Take-Two panel at this years E3, ‘nine out of 10 kids play video games, not nine out of 10 boys, nine out of 10 kids’. This makes it incredibly important to highlight the power of female gamers and showcase that their skills and prowess is recognised around the globe.

India has the biggest online smartphone market where 45% of the smartphones sold are bought online. Following India come United Kingdom having a online smartphone market share of 39% after which comes China having 34% of it’s smartphone market being online.

This ongoing trend of purchasing smartphones online has been emergent since the beginning of the third quarter of 2020, starting from the United States to European markets or from the emerging Indian markets to South American markets. Digital market has been on the rise for quite a while now.

Nearly 26% of mobile phones sold online in 2020; India leads with highest online sales share: Counterpoint

Although in China the online smartphone market reached it’s highest point within the first 6 months of 2020, India and United Kingdom saw a similar peak in the 2nd half of 2020.

Senior Analyst Sujeong Lim from Counterpoint stated “After the rapid growth in 2020, we expect 2021 to see some easing after the COVID-19 vaccination. However, it is expected to grow slightly every year from 2022 onwards, supported by growth in emerging markets and the middle-aged population becoming more accustomed to IT devices and internet use,”

“But in the case of India, which currently has the highest online proportion, it may decrease to a certain level after 2022 due to the development of offline infrastructures such as multi-brand stores and large-scale retail stores. On the other hand, the future growth of the online market in SEA and MEA is noteworthy,”

Club Brugge forward Emmaneul Dennis on his way to Watford

0

Watford have officially confirmed the signing of Club Brugge forward Emmanuel Dennis on a permanent deal. The player joined Brugge in 2017, and has gone on to score 27 times for them in just over 90 appearances.

He was sent out on loan during the latter half of the 20/21 season to Koln. However, he struggled to make it into the starting lineup and is now part of the newly promoted Watford team that will be competing in the Premier League next season.

‘An agreement with Club Brugge has been reached for the transfer of exciting young forward Emmanuel Dennis, Watford FC is delighted to confirm,’ The Hornets wrote on their website.

Dennis is highly rated for his pace. He also has the ability to be versatile across the frontline and can play anywhere across a front three. However, he naturally likes to operate as a central striker.

‘The Hornets are currently finalising personal terms with the pacy striker – capped twice by Nigeria so far – who began his professional career with some experience as a teenager in the Ukrainian Premier League with Zorya Luhansk,’ the official announcement continued.

Dennis has scored in the Europa League and the Champions League and will bring some good experience to the Premier League team. He was responsible for Brugge’s 18/19 2-2 draw against Real Madrid, where he scored both goals.
