Also, Rosé has fans scrambling for her first full-length solo project after her record-setting debut single album R (which housed the smash hits GONE and On The Ground. When she announced rosie in October, Rosé explained that she had put her heart and soul into the album, and couldn’t wait to show the world this very personal, “little journal.”

Indeed, Momentum has been building for rosie, especially after her successful pre-releases. On October 18, Rosé released APT, a retro-tinged track featuring Bruno Mars that went on to hit big, staying atop the trending charts for weeks. The song also made history, as it made Rosé the first female K-pop soloist to reach the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. APT has carried on breaking records too, debuting at No. 1 on Spotify as well as the UK’s Official Singles chart.

It became the most successful male-female duet debut of 2024, even besting Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s Fortnight. The work fared well at the 2024 MAMA Awards, where Rosé and Bruno Mars took home the Global Sensation trophy for the success of APT. Then, with Number One Girl, which dropped on Nov. 22, Rosé displayed a different sound altogether compared to APT meaning that rosie might just be her most genre-spanning solo release to date.
