Black Shark 5 Pro:

The Black Shark 5 Pro is the premier model, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, there are also two vapor chambers, one on each side (4,323mm2 + 997mm2). The Snapdragon is paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The storage is split equally between an NCMe SSD and the usual UFS 3.1 storage with 512GB. Using the so-called DM Cache technology, Black Shark has managed to improve the random read and write performance. Also, the past LPDDR5 RAM can be used to create a RAM disk for occasions even faster storage is required.

The phone has a high-performance 4,650mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. 0-100% charge can be achieved in just 15 minutes, there is also a temperature control mode that slows it down to 24 minutes, the phone features battery bypass for gaming while external power is plugged in.

The Black Shark 5 Pro is equipped with a 6.67″ AMOLED. The 10-bit panel supports HDR10+ along with the DCI-P3 color gamut. It has two ambient light sensors and the brightness can be adjusted to match any kind of condition perfectly.

The display of the device has a 144Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate, in addition to this, there is a magnetic shoulder button that pops up on the side of the device that uses a gaming-grade microswitch.

The phone has two symmetrical speakers, an X-axis linear Motor, and four mics. In the optics department, it packs a 108MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide angle sensor, and a 5MP telephoto macro lens. The device comes in Meteorite Black and Tiangong White colors.

The BlackShark 5 will be available from the 2nd of April and will be priced at CNY 4,200 or 50,000 INR. Keep in mind that this is exclusive to China.

Black Shark 5 RS:

The Black Shark 5 RS features the Snapdragon 888 and 888+ chip, the Plus version is available on the 12GB+256GB variant. Apart from the chips, the Black Shark 5 RS packs the same split in storage between SSD and UFS, and also the same cooling technology.

The battery is slightly smaller at 4,500mAh, it does support 120W charging and can go from 0-100% charge in under 15 minutes.

Black Shark 5:

The Black Shark 5 is the most basic variant and it is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chip with two vapor chambers for cooling. This device has no SSD, just the good old LPDDR5 RAM in 8GB/12GB configurations and UFS 3.1 storage in 128GB/256GB configurations.

The Black Shark 5 utilizes the same display as the others, it has a 6.67″ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 144Hz touch sampling rate. The camera setup is similar to the RS variant with a 64MP+13MP+5MP setup on the rear and a 16MP selfie shooter.
