Black Shark 4S Pro and 4S now official, 4S Pro leave Red Magic 6 Pro behind in AnTuTu score

Black Shark 4S and Black Shark 4S Pro have been launched in China. These gaming phones from Xiaomi have arrived as the successor to the Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro that debuted earlier this year in the home market. They feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8-series of flagship processors. The devices compete against the likes of the ROG Phone 5 series and the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2.

The Black Shark 4S and 4S Pro feature a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED punch-hole display with two pressure-sensitive zones for gaming. The screen supports a Full HD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, MEMC, DCI-P3 colour gamut, 1,300 nits brightness, HDR10+, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 720Hz touch sampling rate. For security, both phones feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The devices have a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, etc. They also come with stereo speakers. They boot Android 11-based and MIUI-based JoyUI 12.8. Lastly, both phones come with a 4,500 mAh battery under the hood with 120W fast charging support.

Both phones share most of the hardware specs. The processor, however, is the key differentiator. The Snapdragon 870 chip fuels the Black Shark 4S with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The 4S Pro is driven by the Snapdragon 888 Plus mobile platform. It is assisted by 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 + SSD storage.

And the processor is the key where 4S Pro came as a winner. Black Shark 4S Pro AnTuTu Benchmark’s total score is 887,734, of which the CPU score is 216,996, the GPU score is 219,912, the MEM score is 189,260, and the UX score is 161,566, which makes it at least 7.5% faster than the Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro and nearly 8% faster than the Asus ROG Phone 5.

Once again Black Shark will be able to gain top position on the Android performance list, which last month was lost by RedMagic 6S Pro with an average score of 857918 points.
