Black Panther New Game: What we can expect from the upcoming superhero game

Black Game: Though the Marvel Cinematic Universe has recently experienced some difficulties, the company’s video game business is about to receive an infusion of intriguing new material. Insomniac is preparing to bat – and perhaps hit a home run – with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 later this year, probably followed quickly by Marvel’s Wolverine. Marvel Snap is still a mobile phenomenon, and EA Motive is developing an Iron Man game. Marvel, on the other hand, has just unveiled a new Black Panther game.

This newly revealed game, published by EA and developed by brand new firm Cliffhanger Games, is touted to be a single-player adventure set in the hero’s home of Wakanda. However, this is not the only game featuring Black Panther that is currently in development. Skydance is also working on a Marvel video game in which Black Panther is the main playable character. Both of these games may wind up releasing close to one another, but there are a few things each may do to differentiate themselves.

Skydance’s Marvel game, first revealed in September of last year at the D23 Expo, remains cloaked in mystery, however, its debut video does give fans a few huge hints as to what the game will be about. Skydance’s Marvel game appears to be set during World War II, with Hydra serving as the major opponent. Throughout the game, players will control four characters: Captain America, Black Panther, Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos, and Nanali of the Wakandan Spy Network. With Uncharted’s Amy Hennig in the lead, this game appears to be a single-player action-adventure game with a heavy story focus.

The newly revealed Black Panther game from EA and Cliffhanger Games offers even less information.

According to the initial press release, this Black Panther game would likewise be a single-player offering, with a focus on the narrative. While both EA and Skydance’s Black Panther-themed games have these characteristics, there are numerous differences between the two.

One of the most noticeable distinctions between Skydance and EA’s Marvel games is the playable characters. While EA’s Black Panther game will most likely focus solely on the eponymous hero, Skydance’s game features the four aforementioned playable characters, with the game alternating between them over its course. The settings in EA and Skydance games are also pretty distinct. If the phrasing in the initial press release is correct, EA’s Black Panther game will purportedly focus solely on Wakanda, perhaps providing players with an open-world sandbox to explore.

Skydance’s Marvel game, on the other hand, is said to be a “globe-trotting” adventure that will likely begin in Wakanda and soon move its heroes to the rest of the world. Another significant distinction between the two games is the Black Panther. Skydance’s Black Panther will be Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandpa, and while the identity of EA’s Black Panther has yet to be revealed, it is most likely T’Challa or Shuri.
