Black Ops 7 Season 1: The Biggest CoD Update Ever Is Almost Here

The countdown is on! Black Ops 7 Season 1 is expected to launch on December 4, 2025, bringing what developers are calling “the biggest season in franchise history.” With Warzone integration, massive content drops, and game-changing updates, here’s everything you need to know.

Black Ops 7 Season 1 Overview

What Makes Season 1 Special?

Season 1 marks complete integration between Warzone and Black Ops 7, meaning all your current weapons, operators, and cosmetics carry forward while gaining access to fresh BO7 mechanics. This seamless transition ensures nothing you’ve earned gets left behind.

Multiplayer Gets Major Boost

Seven fresh and remastered weapons will arrive, giving players new arsenal options alongside classic maps that veterans will recognize instantly. Fan-favorite modes like Sticks and Stones and Prop Hunt return shortly after launch, with holiday limited-time modes adding seasonal flair.

Zombies Goes Cosmic

The Zombies experience expands significantly with Astra Malorum, a new map with a main quest Easter Egg described as “out of this world”. Two Survival maps—Exit 115 and Cosmodrome—will give players focused combat zones. Returning favorites like Mister Peeks Field Upgrade and Frost Blast enhance your undead-slaying loadout.

Warzone Transformation

Season 1 removes all Wildcards from Warzone, streamlining loadouts to five attachments maximum. However, Overkill becomes available without requiring a Wildcard, letting players run dual primary weapons as standard—a welcome change for battle royale enthusiasts.

Why The Timing Matters

The gap between Black Ops 7’s November 14 launch and Season 1 in December gives players crucial time to explore Campaign, level up weapons, and master mechanics before the Warzone integration shakes everything up. Smart players are already identifying meta weapons to dominate when Season 1 drops.
