BioShock to have its new sequel play out in the freezing continent set in the 1960’s era

We’ve known for a while that another BioShock is in the works at 2K’s new California-based studio Cloud Chamber, but specifics have been scarce. Job postings have hinted at a more “emergent sandbox world” and RPG-like progression systems this time around, but beyond that, we’re left to speculate.

It takes place in a 1960s Antarctic city called Borealis. [The game is] codenamed ‘Parkside’… I’ve been told that the development team has incredible latitude to get it right. Of course, take this with a grain of salt, but it all sounds plausible. This leak comes as theresalwaysalighthouse.com, a teaser site featuring what appears to be a shining beacon against a background of stars, has surfaced.

However, it appears that the website has been around for a while, so it does not necessarily indicate any forthcoming BioShock news (although keep your fingers crossed for something at The Game Awards).
